Choose from 1 of 5 bedroom suites all with queen beds and each with their own full bathroom, walk-in closet and built in storage. Enjoy stunning sunsets and sunrises on 3 huge terraces. On cool evenings, 4 stone gas fireplaces will provide you a lovely touch of warmth and ambience. Entertain in the open kitchen and family room with table seating to accommodate up to six with an additional four bar stools at the granite bar for cooking, informal dining, and watching the sunset or choose the formal dining room that accommodates up to eight. The kitchen is a chef's delight! The gourmet kitchen features a professional Thermador gas cook top with griddle and grille, Kitchen Aid appliances that include double convection ovens, bread warmer, and EuroCave 3-temp, 260 bottle wine cellar for serving red and whites at the perfect temperature. You are sure to enjoy the large center island with 2 sinks for group cooking and 2 dishwashers for fast clean up. Of course, you can always check your emails in the office, proceed upstairs to the Fitness Room or spend quiet moments reading in the formal living room.
If you enjoy the beach, there are so many choose from! The nearby beaches await you 1 mile away at Sunset Beach, Howard Park or drive 10 minutes and take the Ferry to Caladesi Island, voted the #1 beach in the US in 2008. A short 30 minute drive will take you to Clearwater Beach which also features jazz festivals during various times of the year or head over to St. Pete Beach and the downtown area. Many fine golf courses abound including one close by that is a PGA Men’s Tour Stop. You might want to walk, jog, run or bike on the Scenic Pinellas Trail, a 37 mile path that begins in Tarpon Springs and takes you to St. Petersburg. Just minutes away Tarpon Springs will offer you the world famous Sponge Docks, a sponge fishing tour boat, kayak and boat rentals, deep sea fishing, the Dolphin Watch Island tour boat, award winning restaurants, specialty gift shops and the historic district with live music, art galleries, and antique shops. Be sure and take the Tarpon Springs Trolley to tour our town’s most famous landmarks.

Why the Owner Chose Tarpon Springs
Tarpon Springs is full of ambience due to diversity of local festivals and celebrations and a Greek influence, yet not overly crowded with tourists. There is a family environment evident not only in the actual town, but throughout the neighborhoods where art and craft shows, music events, and beach picnics and parties abound. The beaches are all within a few minutes, as is boating, fishing, golf, tennis, shopping, and great restaurants. The airport is conveniently located and easy to access as are attractions in Tampa, Clearwater, and St. Petersburg. We have it all in the nearby geography including a Zoo and Busch Gardens Amusement Park.
The Unique Benefits at this House
One of the most important aspects of our home is that it is such a lovely refuge of harmony and peace. Nature surrounds it as birds of all sizes soar in the sky, fish including dolphins swim by, fishing boats seek out red fish and snook, and the lighthouse at night provides guidance for ships. And yet, with all of this, activity and entertainment is just around the corner.

Having spent our lives in the Washington, DC area raising our children and establishing our careers (mine as a VP of Sales for a Fortune 50 company, his a VP/CFO of Finance for a privately held company)we were offered the opportunity to start our own businesses in the Tampa, Florida area. Having travelled to Hawaii on multiple occasions and experiencing amazing sunsets, my major requirement in buying a house was that it be waterfront and that we could watch the sunset in our backyard - without other houses, buildings, roads, or bridges to obstruct the view. A second requirement was that it have enough room to comfortably entertain and house our grown children, family, and out of town guests when they chose to visit. After viewing many, many homes it became very clear that my dream home did not exist. The search then became about a home site that would meet our criteria and upon which we could build a house. Many months later we found our ideal setting and worked with an architect to design a home that would have all of the details and conveniences that only come as a result of making a dream into reality. The strong European influence was a result of years of travel abroad where photographs were taken for future reference and objects were purchased, including the tile backsplash in the kitchen that was hand painted and signed by the artist in Barcelona .
