Enjoy this great "A" frame cabin on West Beach with Swan Town Lake to the East and The Strait of Juan de Fuca to the West. Just north of the cabin and within walking distance is Joseph Whidbey State Park. A beautiful location that is wonderfully unique situated on a sand strip surrounded by natural beauty and wildlife. From sunrise to sunset you'll enjoy the views of the San Juan Islands, Strait of Juan de Fuca, Olympic Mountain Range and Cruise/Ferry/Shipping Lanes. If you happen to be there at just the right time grey whales swim directly in front of the cabin, often so close you can hear them spout! The Cabin is centrally located on the island near shopping, restaurants and activities yet worlds away in unincorporated Oak Harbor.
The cabin is a casual comfort in coastal decor with 2 bedrooms. The master downstairs has 1 queen pillow top bed and the upstairs bedroom has 2 queen beds.Both with great linens. A full size futon is located in the upstairs loft as well. There are 2 new flat panel 42 hd TV's. The cabin has a large wood burning stove for those cozy nights when you are up to watch the incredibly wild storms that hit the west side. The full bathroom hosts a full size washer and dryer for your needs. All linens and towels are provided.
The kitchen has most everything you should need for cooking including serving set for 8+, dishes, utensils, pots/pans and microwave, coffee maker, toaster and blender etc.
The cabin has fun stuff for the kids with books, games, movies, puzzles, coloring books and crayons. Beach buckets, shovels and water toys. Fire up the BBQ (Spring and Summer Only) for some great cooking and enjoy the views off the deck. Totally fenced yard with large side yard! Sit back and enjoy your Island Time!
Please note that the cabin has a large seawall/bulkhead 8 feet tall to protect the property from storm surges. The deck has a step down of 1-2 feet to ground level with a rope divider between the deck and seawall to provide a safety warning to stay off the seawall. Beach access is by use of a ladder (USE AT YOUR OWN RISK) or at the south (5 minute walk) or north (10 minute walk) end of the street in public access right of ways.
Young Children MUST is supervised while enjoying the deck area.

When my husband Kevin was growing up his family had a beach cabin on whidbey island and for years we dreamed of being able to own up there. We spent many a saturday driving around looking for possible cabins that would fit our requirements. Mine were to be able to watch an amazing sunset (since I try not to wake up early enough to see the sunrise) and to hear the waves crash while falling asleep. His were simple, he just wanted a place to beach comb and find great rocks, shells and sea glass with his family! When we stumbled upon this cabin, after looking at properties many times on Sunset beach, we knew instantly this was the one! (Bonus) if you do get up early you can watch the sunrise also! We have three children so with sports and school activities we knew we would not be able to make it up there as much as we would want to so we decided to share the cabin with others hence vrbo. No matter where you choose to stay on whidbey know that you will have an amazing time and if you choose to stay at our cabin The Wrights say "thank you" in advance.

What a lovely, relaxing time we have had in your wonderful beach house! We live on the Oregon coast, but Whidbey Island is an altogether different experience- how nice it has bee! Your house feels like a home- Thank You, Rex and Marrion My parents couldn't stop talking about (or picking up) the rocks on the beach. Yes, they're taking "a few" home (but so am I ;-). Last night's surf was amazing- no sand left! The house shook from the water pounding the sea wall! The house is great- it feels like a home- as my son say's "good karma"! We hope to come back again! We have seen ducks, and a great blue heron, bald eagle and whales. Not bad for looking out a window or off the deck!!!!

Thanks for the wondeful weekend. Too bad we had to spend most of it at a swim meet- but heaven on earth to come back to your lovely cabin after a long day at the races! We can't wait to come again. The car isn't even packed and we are already sorry to leave.

Loved being so close to the beach. Kids loved the stairs and the toys, and being in their own beds! This was a perfect getaway for our growing family. Thanks, hopefully someday we might be able to come back. this place was just "WRIGHT" for us!!!

Wow! This is our third visit to your amazing cabin - and each time is more memorable than the last! Spending xmas eve and xmas day were beyond spectacular! Opening stockings and gifts with a crackling fire and waves crashing- fabulous. We can't wait to book our next visit.
