Wow....that about sums it up for my recent stay at the Wright Beach House. We, 7 of my family members, enjoyed a long graduation at the beach house. We had plenty of time to watch the tide come in and go out, play games, watch some sports, bbq and actually invite other family members for a dinner one evening. The beach house exceeded our expectations & was begging for us to stay longer. Thanks to Tammy & family for letting my family experience their second home. My only regret is that there wasn't a guest book for us to sign & leave a wonderful note for upcoming guests. Thank you!!!! - Grant & Family

My family returns every year to enjoy this lovely beach home with our family. This beach house has peaceful water views, amazing sunsets, breaking waves and long walks on the beach. From the moment you grab your cup of coffee you are surrounded with picturesque views to soothe your day. The kids enjoy the loft with activities, games, and privacy. Our family loves this cabin and cozy atmosphere with the best views on Whidbey!

What a lovely, relaxing time we have had in your wonderful beach house! We live on the Oregon coast, but Whidbey Island is an altogether different experience- how nice it has bee! Your house feels like a home- Thank You, Rex and Marrion My parents couldn't stop talking about (or picking up) the rocks on the beach. Yes, they're taking "a few" home (but so am I ;-). Great beach, enjoyed the refreshing walks in the rain, and the nearby trails. And of course a very cozy cabin. Thanks!- Angela

Wright retreat is absolutely RIGHT for relaxing

Hi Tamara, I had a great stay at the retreat on West Beach! Besides the incredible location 'right on the beach', there have been many fabulous improvements since I stayed at this cabin in the early 90's (different owners). The beds are super comfortable, the living room furniture fantastic: the couch and side chair seating inspired my brother to replace his with something similar (they were that comfortable), the rocking/bouncy chairs were perfect for sitting by the sliding doors and watch the waves or the fireplace. The dining room chairs were elegant with their covers AND the adirondak chairs on the deck were perfect for hanging out and having conversations with the waves as a backdrop. I LOVE the Ansel Adams images in the bedroom along with all the Rie Munoz prints upstairs...there were so many beautiful touches with the lighting choices as well. The kitchen was surprisingly well furnished, perfect for our needs. I will be back, and am so appreciative of the charm, upgrades, and comfort that the Wright's have added to this property since I was there last.

Great location, close to town. Cabin is warm and inviting with great views, especially sunsets. Plenty of room for 4 adults. Owners are very accomodating in answering any questions.

Amazing surf!!

Last night's surf was amazing- no sand left! The house shook from the water pounding the sea wall! The house is great- it feels like a home- as my son say's "good karma"! We hope to come back again! We have seen ducks, and a great blue heron, bald eagle and whales. Not bad for looking out a window or off the deck!!!!

We absolutely loved staying at the Wright cabin! The place was perfect for our family of 5, plus my mom. There was plenty of room & everyone had an incredibly comfortable place to sleep. Love, love, loved the sound of the water & sitting on the deck watching the sunsets. Absolutely priceless views (no exaggeration)! We brought our bikes & running shoes & took many rides/runs from the cabin to the town of Oak Harbor as well as a bike ride to Deception Pass. Great central location for all of our outings. Plus, I should add there is a side yard & our kids loved creating table/chairs, forts, etc with all of the various driftwood & logs. We had a such a fun & relaxing trip. Thank you Wright family for the use of your cabin, we all had a fabulous time!

I had the pleasure of spending a weekend at this lovely cabin on Whidbey Island and it was absolutely wonderful. Just wonderful. It was very clean and the owners have it decorated such that you feel like it truly is a home away from home. It is perfect for multiple families and lots of kids since there is a loft area in addition to the two bedrooms. The kids and I walked the beach for miles in either direction. We found agates, we built sandcastles, we climbed sand dunes, we had a ball. The sunsets are breathtaking and the proximity to town to get any necessary items was extremely convenient. I would recommend this cabin to anybody looking to relax and enjoy beach life.

We've had such a relaxing weekend in this super comfortable A-frame. We've built lots of sandcastles, watched them get washed away, jumped off the deck into the sand, wallied on the beach, watched sunsets and surises and eaten gobs of good food. We stayed here for 3 nights in Sept and we had a great time esp my two boys. The location was great and the view was amazing. Deception Pass is only around 10 mins away. The house was the perfect beach cabin and we hope to stay there again soon.

We were ecstatic to have found this vacation house - the location is outstanding, you can not beat being right on the water, I loved being able to curl up with a book and hearing the waves crashing just feet away.
