The Outdoor Inn is Tybee's ONLY vacation rental AND licensed Wedding and Special Occassions Venue. You can either rent the home just as a Vacation Rental or you can rent both the vacation rental AND Wedding/ Special Events Venue. We can accomodate up to 72 guests for an event ( using both the inside and outside space). We also have off street FREE parking to accomodate your guests.
The Vacation Rental is an amazing home with lots of private space for families or friends, yet plenty of gathering areas as well. One large screened porch, one private balcony off the top floor Master Suite and even a front porch with rocking chairs across the front of the home. Your view from the back looks south across miles of salt marsh and winding creeks. It's a great place for coffee in the mornings or to sit in the evenings and watch the egrets and herons that frequent the creek.
Our home is located in the heart of the Gateway to Tybee. Restaurants and shops are located right across the street and we are an easy ten minute walk to the North Beach . Or a 15 minute bike ride to anywhere else on the island, including the pier on the South Beach at the Strand. We're just far enough away from the center of things to find peace and quiet, but close enough that you may never need your car.
The Outdoor Inn is located next door to Sea Kayak Georgia, one of the Country's premier sea kayaking schools where kayaks, gear, lessons, guides, and logistical support are available.

- Queen Bed (3) : The master bedroom suite on the top floor has 1 queen bed, 1 twin bed as well as a futon sleeper. There is also the "nook" which is one twin bed in a seperate room. The top floor also has a balcony overlooking the marsh and master bathroom.

- Convertible Bed: The master suite on the top floor has a futon sofa in the suite. This is in addition to the queen bed and twin bed in the room.

- Deck/Patio: Wow do we have decks! We have a front porch with rocking chairs but the back screened porch over looks the salt marsh. No extra charge for bird watching or the daily Sunsets The grounds area also right on the salt marsh and an ideal area for weddings, family reunions or any other gathering.
- Balcony: The top floor master suite has a balcony with the same views as the ground level. Private and intimate- the perfect place to read all afternoon or have a glass of champagne as you're watching sunset.
- Lanai: The ground level also has a Lanai area which can be used as the dance area ( we have full electrical hook up) or the wedding area or another area for the food and beverage.

The Unique Benefits at this House
The beauty of the marsh in the morning light is exquisite. We love watching the herons and egrets stalk their breakfast while we sit on the porch sipping our coffee. Actually the evening light as the sun sets is also exquisite. Often you can watch an osprey or hawk rise above the marsh, soaring in slow circles. Riding bikes everywhere on the island is such a treat. We like the pace and up-close experience of bicycles. You can take a deep breath of salt air everywhere you go, whether you have a destination or are just exploring. And then you can return to the Inn and sit on the porch or on the bench under the cedar at the creek. Besides birds we love to see the dolphins while kayaking or just walking on the beach. It's spectacular when they leap out of the water. And loggerhead sea turtles nest on the beach May through August!

Debbie found Tybee in the early 80's and Dale found Debbie a few years after that. Sea kayaking has been our passion for a very long time, and was our business for a number of years. We also enjoy sailing and motor-boating as well as all the other beach and outdoor activities the island has to offer. Who can complain about trying to decide between kayaking or running or walking the beach or biking or tennis? We love it here!
