Map & Owner's Profile
Sunny Apartment in Antibes Old Town the South of France
Year Purchased: 2008
Why the Owner Chose Antibes
Working all over the Mediterranean I have had the opportunity to see and stay in some of the most beautiful and picturesque places in the world. During these travels I came to Antibes and knew I had found somewhere very special. With the snow caped Alps Maritime in view on one side and the Mediterranean full of sails one the other the town has a long history and simple French lifestyle that appealed greatly to me.
The Unique Benefits at this Apartment
You can walk 5-15 minutes to three beaches or 'plages' with the ancient 'Marche Provencal' food markets 100 meters away the apartment is in the heart of the old town of Antibes. With its' tiny cobbled streets and numerous restaurants the town has endless charm. You can hire a boat in the port for skiing or just to tour the beautiful coastline and swim. Both Nice and Cannes are within 25 minutes drive with their nightlife and shopping and the famous Juan le Pins is just 10 minutes by car.
Housed in the Grimaldi Fortress the Picasso museum showcases many of the artists sculpture and pottery works as well as paintings.
The largest superyacht port in Europe, with some of the most amazing floating toys in the World.
Designed and built during the Napolionic wars the fort stands over the harbour and can be visited with guided tours.
The huge walls that ringed the entire town remain on the seaward side.
The Garre De Antibes. South to Juan Les Pins, Golf Juan and then Cannes. North towards Nice, Monaco and Italy.
Owner's Map of Antibes
A culinary chef by trade, I moved to France 4 years ago to continue my career in the yachting industry and have been travelling all over the Mediterranean since. A keen snowboarder in Winter and motorcycle tourer in Summer I love living so close to the heart of Europe.

My husband & I stayed here for 9 days, The location in the Old Town of Antibes was magnificent. There are so many great restaurants and shops all within walking distance. The public beach is 2 blocks away. With the Provenchal market a block away, we were able to get the freshest fruits, vegetables, and cheese every morning. The apartment is on the 3rd floor with balconies overlooking a plaza with a fountain. The apartment was exactly as it looks in the photos. On the 1st floor is a creperie/ brasserie with their delightful smell. Very tasty crepes, bruschettas and smoothies. We cooked most of our meals in the very well equipped modern kitchen. From the fruit salads, fresh eggs, just baked croissants in the morning, to the french baquette sandwiches for lunch and fishcakes, fish soup, pastas for dinner... then there was the Bordeaux wine. Often there were musicians playing outside,no need to go out for entertainment. But if you did want to go out at night, there were bars along the marina opened late. The marina was great to stroll around at night with quite a few mega yachts to look at. The master bedroom was spacious with an extremely comfortable tempurpedic mattress. Master bathroom has an awesome roman bathtub. The apartment was immaculate. We did have a rental car as my husband was there for business. We were able to park in a garage under the Post office 3 blocks away for 96 Euros for 2 weeks. The owner and his porperty manager were excellent with their communication. This was our frst experience with renting thru VRBO and it was an excellent choice. We highly recommend this property. It was fabulous!

Hello Christian, Just wanted to drop you a line. We are having a fabulous time and have made ourselves at home in your lovely place. We are in love with Antibes all over again and enjoying literally every minute. We even enjoyed our first night when the VERY LOUD punk band was playing right outside at the flower shop. It was louder than I could've possibly imagined. Luckily they wrapped out around 11pm just in time for the Brazilian drummers to start! What a welcoming. Your place is wonderfully equipped and I've enjoyed cooking here. I love to cook when I'm on holiday without the constraints of the kids and our schedules. I think dinner was at 10pm last night. Anyway, just wanted to tell you how happy we are.

7 of us stayed in this lovely apartment and had a wonderful time. The apartment overlooks three cafes and is in the center of old town. We could walk everywhere - beach, restaurants, museums, shopping, and just wandering down quaint streets with beautiful flowers. The local open market is minutes away and we took full advantage of this - fresh bread, cheese and fruit every day. The apartment is spacious and has all the amenities you will need. We loved sitting out on the balcony. I would recommend this property to anyone visiting this area of France.

Christian, Thank you for letting us use your wonderful apartment. We love Antibes and were able to use the train to visit Nice and Cannes as well. Also thank you for advising us not to rent a car. You were absolutely right, a car is not needed. We left a beach umbrella for the other guests to use. Best wishes, Toni and Patrick, Bonnie and Ken. Orange and Long Beach, California.

Dear Chris, We stayed in your apartment this summer for a short (too short!) five nights. I want to thank you for sharing this incredible retreat with us. We loved everything about Antibes and it will definitely be on our list of places to which we will return! And I have to add that Kim was wonderful! She is warm and charming...and made us feel so at home. She is a gem! Thank you again - and I hope we can return some day soon! Susan

Our family (two girls 12 and 20) enjoyed a week last summer in this wonderful apartment. The location is absolutely perfect! We walked to the beach the first evening and swam in the warm sea! We ate in restaurants just below our balcony, brought the best peaches home from the incredible open market and the warm breezes put us to sleep at night. I would stay here again in a minute.....it was all it was described to be - and more.
