We had planned to visit for three nights in mid-May. The apartment was booked easily and quickly following email exchange with the owner. Unfortunately, we had a family emergency and had to cancel just a few days after the contract was signed. Humaira was very understanding and arranged for a refund quite speedily. I am currently waiting for the refund check to arrive, but I'm sure it will be here soon. I look forward to trying again soon.

My 13 year old daughter and I spent this spring break in San Francisco and rented the studio. It was the perfect place for us. It was very clean and all of the amenities we needed were provided - including wifi which worked perfectly. The bus stop was a short walk away and the Golden Gate Park and its attractions were within walking distance. Browsing in the shops on Haight Street was fun and my daughter found her grade 8 graduation dress - the bonus being that she will remember her spring break adventure when she wears it.

I stayed here for the month of February. I had a lovely stay. I found it a very clean, cheerful and comfortable studio. The bed and linen were especially high quality. The kitchen is fully functional. It has its own private entrance. It is located close to everything no car is necessarily. The WiFi worked perfectly. The lovely family that own this apartment were very friendly and helpful. I would strongly recommend this place as an alternative to a hotel.

My parents have stayed in this lovely studio apartment a number of times when they have visited my family in San Francisco. The room is perfect for their needs and the location is very central and provides easy access to the rest of the city. There are also multiple moderately priced and delicious restaurants in the immediate neighborhood. The owners of the apartment are very responsive and organized. Staying in this delightful, cozy studio will only enhance your visit to our dynamic city.

This condo is in a very central location, close to transportation and to the golden gate park....for runners. However, if you must have wifi or phone coverage, this is not the place for you. Me and my husband were completely isolated while staying there. The wifi didn't work and even if it worked the signal was very weak. Both our phones didn' t have coverage (Verizon an ATT). The carpet and rug need a good cleaning. The refrigerator is very noisy at times.
Owner response:The studio is in an old Victorian house where cell phone reception is very low. Unfortuntaley we do not have control over this issue. We are working on improving the wifi reception. The carpets are beige and retain some discoloration, the carpets have been cleaned recently.

We loved it! Really spacious and well organized for a studio apartment - and beautifully appointed...from the inspirational media on the walls of the entry to the oh so comfortable and beautiful bed, the pull out mattress which the kids used and the tea making equipment which we all used! We also appreciated its excellent location - so close to the park, Haight Ashbury in general, other city venues that we enjoy accessing. We used to live just a block and a half away, so were able to visit some of our old haunts and see how the neighborhood has changed. And the Haight Street Fair was this weekend, so the kids had a great time checking out the sights... We won the studio as a part of an auction item at our kids school Thank you for making it available to San Carlos parents as a fundraiser for the San Carlos Education Foundation!

First, I was pleased to discover that this little apartment is not one big room, but divided. The bed is enclosed by three walls and feels separate from the kitchen and dining areas. The place was very clean and well equipped. It was well-located too. We could walk 2 1/2 blocks to visit family, a couple of blocks to a great food market, a library, lots of restaurants, and catch a bus as well. The Golden Gate Park is within a couple blocks, except for the Panhandle which is steps away. We have stayed at a hotel before and like this much better (plus it was less expensive). You can cook your own meals, make a cup of tea anytime, and have coffee in your p.j.'s. There is no tv, but we had our laptop for watching dvd's etc, and were perfectly happy. Our little grandson came to play and enjoyed the back garden. This was a great exeperience, from my initial inquiries right until the end of our stay!

Excellent location just a couple blocks away from Haight street and right next to Golden Gate park. Easy to walk anywhere, including the N Judah Muni line, which will take you all over SF. The place is very clean and has all basic amenities. Nice backyard you can access. You can hear footsteps and other living noise overhead, but I guess that's to be expected in stacked, city living. :) The owners were very responsive to issues I had with the wireless, which was much appreciated.

Upon referral, my boyfriend and I booked a weekend at The Haight Studio. At the end of our stay we concluded that we made a marvelous decision. Located in a beautiful Victorian home, we slipped in through a private entrance to find a lovely living space with a private garden. The proprietors provided towels, all the kitchen items needed and lots of comfort. I thought the warm note left along with some yummy chocolates to enjoy was a beautiful touch! I was much moved and I felt like I was being received by friends. Less than two blocks south of the famed Haight- Ashbury and less than a block away from the Panhandle, we were really in a prime location. Honestly, we spent most of our time in The Haight! So many great restaurants like the Pork Store Cafe and the Magnolia Pub & Brewery, great bars, great scenery, ample public transportation...we had more than we could imagine at our fingertips. A 20 minute walk took us to Golden Gate Park where we had fab time exploring the New Academy of Sciences. It was my British boyfriend's first time to SF and this is exactly the experience I wanted him to have. He is now in love with this amazing city. There is no TV or radio and the WiFi did not work for us(all over with SF we struggled with WiFi) but that was a blessing. We had the lovely rain to serenade us and we were able to REST without distraction. Did I mention that the bed is super comfortable?!?! My only regret was that we were unable to meet our gracious hosts. All of my interactions with the owner via phone and e-mail were wonderful and I am sure that she is a very lovely lady. I guess I will have to come back again so I can embrace her and say, "Thank you for the memories." Thank you. Thank you. Thank you!

I really enjoyed the quietness of the place and the location. It was easy to reach the places I wanted to go by bicycle or on foot. Organic food shop around the corner is a plus, as other places along the lively Haight Street as well. Park nearby with bike path.

My husband and I had the pleasure of staying in this wonderful studio apartment over our week-long visit to San Francisco in April 2010. The location was excellent, the apartment was bright and comfortable and our hosts were exceptionally gracious. Though I highly recommend staying at this perfect home away from home in San Francisco, I have a secret wish that it doesn't become TOO popular and tightly booked, because for any future visits to the city, this is where we hope to stay again ourselves.

We stayed at this wonderful garden studio for 3 nights in early October, and loved it. From the first e-mail contact to showing up, and departing, the owners were gracious and warm. The studio is extremely charming, quiet, and clean. We enjoyed having breakfast on the patio, it seemed very European...we walked all over the place, the unit is so central. I look forward to staying here again, and highly recommend it to fellow travelers!

We've been there in August 2009. It is a super cute, romantic and well equipped studio. The owners were so friendly and helpful and gave us tips and directions. We visited from Switzerland and thanks to the really central location and the perfect public transportation around there we were able to have 4 fantastic days in San Francisco. Haight street is a cool area with cute little bars and restaurants. I would go there any time again!

We had a wonderful stay at the studio that is accessed through a hallway filled with inspiring photographs with meaningful messages! The owner set up a little bed for my son so that we could all fit comfortably which worked out great. The location is great, we walk to Golden Gate Park, Haight St., and enjoyed coffee, pizza, and burritos from the local businesses. And don't forget Ben and Jerry's which is just around the corner too! We feel very fortunate to have stayed in such a lovely place!

Haight Street is our favorite part of the city. Staying in a hotel downtown is just too far from all the things that make this, in my opinion, the greatest city in the world. This is a fantastic location. Central to all that is San Francisco. Great food and shopping only two blocks from your little studio. The place is cozy, clean, and quiet. It's a great price as well, when you compare to staying in a hotel downtown. We prefer eating out in such a great food town, but having a full kitchen is a huge bonus. We were very happy with our choice. Travis, Little Rock, AR

It is a very cute and well stocked studio. It was great to have a kitchen so we didn't have to eat every meal in a restaurant. The location is terrific--the Haight is a fun neighborhood, Golden Gate Park is so close, and downtown was a quick bus ride. Anonymous

The apartment is the perfect guest accomodations for your San Francisco adventure, located on the panhandle of Golden Gate Park. Besides walking to the Park, transportation to all of San Francisco by bus a block away and the Muni (fast trolley to everywhere you want to visit) five blocks away. Enjoy the ambiance of a private residence with a yard and kitchen amenities for meals (local food market - 4 blocks away on Haight). I recommend very highly and it will be the guesthouse of choice for my SanFran visits. Rita Morris, Morristown, NJ

This is a darling studio in-law in a elegant San Francisco home. It is perfectly located in the heart of San Francisco - walk to Haight street shops/restaurants and Golden Gate Park or bike to Ocean Beach. The full kitchen and access to a quaint patio/garden were a huge plus. Very quiet with its own private entrance. Overall great price for a great place -we'll be back -- highly recommend!
