Our Brooklyn House is a home away from home.
We are a block from the subway station at Prospect Park, an elevator entry leads you to the convenient B/Q train, taking you to Manhattan in 5 short stops (20 minutes easy to canal street).
We are mere blocks from the Audubon center, Lefferts Museum, Prospect Park, Brooklyn Botanic Gardens, Brooklyn Museum of Art, Farmer's market at Grand Army Plaza, lake and paddle boat rentals, Zoo, and the Tennis Center and horseback riding stable.
You will feel welcome as you walk into our home which is set up for a family of 4-6 to enjoy. The living room has great art, a piano, and surround sound projector and blue ray player with blue ray library.
The dining room seats 8 and contains the stereo system and half bath. There are countless games and puzzles for your enjoyment in the cabinets.
The chef's kitchen has a 6 burner Viking stove, built in microwave, all stainless steel appliances and recycled paper stone countertops. Both the kitchen and bath were recently renovated using environmental choices.
Upstairs, there are 3 bedrooms, the master bedroom has a private deck. The Zen bathroom has double sinks and an enormous tub for two, surrounded in poured concrete and sustainably raised mahogany.
The small bedroom has a twin bed and desk. The kids bedroom is set up with a double bed and loft/bunk bed. There is a pack and play available.
If you are in town on business with your family or just on a family vacation, our house will be your home. Available Summer and holidays, email for specifics.

Whitney and Michael live and work in Brooklyn, but are often on location and out of town/country with their 5 year old and 3 year old. We own a farm near Woodstock, NY and are often upstate for the summers. We would love to share our space with you and hope you enjoy your stay.
Why the Owner Chose Brooklyn
We love Brooklyn and wouldn't live anywhere but here. We are so close to Manhattan, but also don't have to deal with the noise and traffic and crammed sidewalks. Having the park so close is a godsend and there is so much going on with the band shell and all the amenities. Try the drum circles every Sunday at the south end of the park or the circus in the spring.

I love how close we are to the train and the ease with which we can get into the city and get anywhere we need to go.

Dear Whitney and Michael, Thank you very much your warm hospitality and fabulous house. We have really enjoyed renting your home and spending the last 2 months here discovering the neighborhood. It is a fabulous location for both adults and children, so close to Prospect Park, the Botanic Gardens, the grocery stores and subway stop. Our kids have become regulars at the Carousel, the playgrounds and picnicing near the Audobon centre. It has been a great base from which to do day trips also to the beach and museums and all the activites Manhatten has to offer just a train ride away. We have felt safe and weclomed in the neighborhood. Most importantly, your house has really been like a 'home away from home' for us. We really appreciated the ability to just arrive and relax on the large sofas, watch movies on the bigscreen and of course the kids were thrilled to discover all the dress-up clothes, toys and the bunk bed set up. We loved staying here and really appreciated your interior deisgn flair - arty, practical, luxurious and homely. We hope to come back again soon.
