Very Pleasant Stay!

This was our first time making lodging arrangements through this type of venue (we typically stay in hotels/resorts), so you can imagine my nervousness. Up until the moment we arrived to the condo, I was worried we were either going to be told the condo didn't exist or that it would look nothing like the pictures. Fortunately this was not the case. The condo looked exactly, if not better, than the pictures. Not only that, it was extremely secure. There was 24h security and literally a key for every external and internal door you entered (apprx. 5 or so), which at times became a bit cumbersome, but the security of the building was much appreciated nonetheless. The condo itself was a decent size and nicely furnished. A family of four could sleep comfortably (parents in bedroom, 2 kids on couch). It had everything we needed from coffeemaker, cooking/dining utensils, wine bottle opener (extremely important!), WiFi, beach towels/chairs, cooler, bath towels (which were so soft and looked as if they've never been used prior to us), extra bed linens, and so much more. We felt like this was truly a home away from home, except it may have been better furnished than my own home. LOL! I couldn't have wished for a better experience. Let me warn you though, Carlos seems to be a very busy man so at times his responses to my queries weren't the quickest (so of course this made me even more nervous). I was also expecting him to meet us at the condo when we arrived to show us around, but he was out of town on business. But when it was all said and done, I realized that I had absolutely nothing to worry about. In fact, once we arrived I kind of liked the fact that he wasn't there (to eliminate any awkwardness). All in all, I’d highly recommend this place and can definitely see us staying here again the next time we visit PR. This was both of our 1st times in PR but hopefully not our last. PR is an absolute gem, we thoroughly enjoyed ourselves! The people are very friendly/accommodating and the beaches are just plain lovely. Be sure to check out the surfers at Liquillo beach and the nice serene beach at Ocean Park (both of these are driving distance away, but there’s a beach <5 min walk from the condo that is nice as well). Also, El San Juan hotel is the place to be seen on the weekends, so be sure to pack your dancing shoes because you’ll be dancing all night in the hotel’s lobby. Ugh! So wish we were still there…

My wife and I had the pleasure of staying at the condo for four nights. What more can we say other that it was outstanding. We have stayed at many places on Isla Verde you could not compare to Carlos condo. The condo is well equiped for your needs, the weekend noise on Isla verde Avenue was not an issue providing a peacefull relaxing night.. Great place to relax!!! We look forward to our next visit. This condo was perfect! It was very clean, had everything we needed and was in a great location! Carlos was very nice and helpful with any questions I had. We loved that we had a place where we could make our own breakfast and lunch each day to save on money. There were lots of things within walking distance and most other things were only a short cab ride away. I would recommend for anyone planning on doing a lot of exploring to look into renting a car. We were surprised at how expensive the cabs were and feel we would have saved money if we had just rented a car instead. Overall we had a fantastic trip and I would definitely stay at this condo again.

This condo is better than the pictures on the Home Away website -- sparkling clean and filled with light. The common areas of the building are very well maintained, there is good security and the neighbors are quiet. The location gives you easy access to many restaurants, a supermarket, the local bus to Old San Juan and to the beautiful Isla Verde beach. If you are looking for a wonderful beach but want to be near activities, Isla Verde is a great choice. Carlos is a responsive and helpful landlord. This was our first time renting through Home Away and we relied on the reviews to help us make our selection. We were very, very happy with this property.

This apartment was exactly as described! It was even more striking than the pictures and description. The owner has furnished the unit with quality furniture and extras. It was immaculate, and the furniture was both comfortable and in excellent condition. It was also very quiet making it easy to get great sleep. The entire building was very well maintained, and the security was excellent. The security guards were all very friendly and helpful as well. They were there to answer any questions and provide directions. It is located within very short walking distance to a variety of restaurants, shops, casinos, a major grocery store, and beaches. If you stay there try Mi Casita for one of your meals. The prices are very good, and the food is out of this world. Car Rentals are very reasonable compared to the states at Charlie's. Charlie's is about a five minute walk from the condo on Isla Verde Avenue. They will even take you back to the airport without an extra charge. Carlos was available for any questions and concerns. We had locked our keys in his apartment by mistake, and he was very understanding about bringing another set. What more could you ask! The fancy hotels and casinos are across the street, and they are fun to visit. If you want to eat at them just be prepared to spend a lot of money. If you are a nature lover make sure you go to El Yunque, the rain forest. It is spectacular, and there are hikes at all levels of difficulty. I had not been to Puerto Rico in a long time, and I was very impressed by how friendly and helpful all the people were. It was great to have the extra security on the beaches. It made you feel right at home. I would stay here again!

My husband and I were totally satisfied with the accommodations offered by the owner, especially when I did the research on my own. It is so difficult to trust what you see online, but, nevertheless, we were pleasantly surprised and satisfied. The listing description was accurate regarding the location; the photos reflect the rental's appearance and amenities; the property was clean and very well-mainted; the owner was more than helpful in answering my questions and concerns before and after the rental. I would definitely recommend this property to friends and relatives because of the fair pricing and with so many attractions, activities, restaurants being right outside your door. It is especially recommended for those who just need a place to sleep and.... maybe rest. We were always OUT and ABOUT. We did use the private pool on a day that we decided not to do the beach. It was well worth it for what we needed.

The condo's modern decor was quite striking, and immaculately clean. The beach was a short walk, and quite accomodating. There were planty of restaurants and a Pueblo supermarket within walking distance. We enjoyed sitting on the balcony, enjoying the view of the ocean and sipping a cocktail. Would definitely stay there again.

We have always stayed at the Marriott or San Juan Hotel when we have visited Puerto Rico. As our family grows these expensive hotel rooms are no longer enjoyable for us. So we decided to give this a try and now I wish I wouldve stayed longer. SUPER clean!! EXCELLENT LOCATION being right across the street from Hotel San Juan, which by the way, you are more than welcome to go eat at their restaurants, hang out at their bar and lounges and even have access to their beach. Lots of restaurants and bars within walking distance, supermarket within a 3 min drive, which came in handy since we had a fully equipped kitchen. Beach chairs and coolers for your use, FREE underground parking, gated, did I say clean! Central AC which not all places in Puerto Rico have, balcony with a side-view of the ocean. The owner was extremely professional, and even brought us just out of the laundry comforters, and sheets since it was really cold when the ac was on. perfect for 4 to 5 people.

Recommended for:Families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, tourists without a car.

We stayed at this apartment for 3 nights at the end of July. It was exactly as advertised and perfect for us. The apartment is extremely clean, well-decorated, and fully equipped with everything you need for the beach, etc. The location is terrific-right across the street from all of the major resorts and the beautiful Isla Verde beach. We loved being able to enjoy the beach during the day and the nightlife of the El San Juan-they have free live miusic every night that was awesome for listening atnd dancing.There are also several excellent restaurants within walking distance (Platos, Blu Guyunaba), and a great Pueblo grocery store right around the corner.The condo has underground free parking that is very secure as well. We enjoyed all that those expensive resorts had to offer FOR FREE, then got to come back to an entire condo to enjoy and relax in in for a fraction of what those resorts would cost! Carlos was very professional and a pleasure to deal with.Thank you Carlos, for a terrifc vacation spot that was very affordable!

My husband and I stayed at this beautiful apartment for our honeymoon and was a wonderful experience. The condo is located in the heart of Isla Verde just across the street from beautiful hotels, restaurants and bars (great night life-live music, casino and restaurants) and also waking distance you will find a beautiful beach. The apartment is so cozy with a beautiful ocean view and really very nice decoration as well as the website picture shows. Carlos was very nice and professional. I will definitely stay at this place again our next trip to Puerto Rico and I will recommend it to my family and friends. Thanks Carlos for a WONDERFUL stay

Fair Price Fair Condo

First time to Puerto Rico, def. would choose to stay at the Hotel San Juan & Casino or Intercontinental if I go again. The room is fine and the facility is secure the problem is you are in average accomodations for a vacation. The lobby downstairs doesnt have airconditioning turned on nor does the parking structure so it can be quite humid. The pool closes at 7 pm. The hotel san juan and intercontinnental will hold you in envy because of the pools and the people there. This building is def. for quiet older people or older couples. The room itself is fine and has all the ammenities you need! But you just feel like you are missing out from a real vacation with the lavish pools, bars, casinos, and beautiful grounds at the hotels across the street. This facility is good if you're from puerto rico and know the area.

This location brings the opportunity for all kinds of guests. For the ones that enjoy of have a day on the beach and also an excellent night live enjoying hotels lobbies and discos, casinos, restaurants and bars and also for the ones that enjoy of have an apartment with a beautiful ocean view with a quiet fuel equipped room for sleep and at the same time that have all that you need (full equipped kitchen, beach chairs, umbrella and towels, a/c etc) for enjoy your stay. As the reviewer also mentioned the apartment have an excellent security with a 24hrs security guard and underground parking with access control.

The room was as advertised, right in the heart of Isla Verde. Carlos was extremely professional, including returning the security deposit within 3 days of the end of the stay. All together an excellent experience and would rent again without hesitation.

My boyfriend & I stayed here and we were as happy as can be. The condo is soooo cozy! The pool is GREAT & a lot nicer than the picture shows. My husband & I stayed at this condo last week in Isla Verde area of Carolina/San Juan, Puerto Rico. What a wonderful experience! The condo was just as it was described in the ad....beautiful, spacious and well appointed. It was only several minutes from the airport. It was located a few blocks from our car rental spot, and it was right across the street from the wedding reception we were going to attend at a local Hotel & Casino. It was not far at all from Old San Juan where we enjoyed seeing El Morro fort, shopping and sight seeing (best place to buy souvenirs!). The apartment was in a gated community and had a great underground parking garage. We felt very safe while there. There was also security. I would suggest the owner put some pretty numbers by the door to help renters know that was the apartment. The view was wonderful from the condo's big windows and we appreciated the shades for our privacy. The AC was awesome and the ceiling fans were amazing! Great after a hot day in the PR sun! The beach was only a few blocks away. We were able to walk around and access pharmacies, food and fun. Bus Stop across the street to go to Old San Juan (we took our rental car). Fancy hotels right across the street. You will hear the sound of music at night (hotel across the street has a club that plays loud music) but it didn't interrupt our sleep at all. Visit the hotel for night life-live music, casino, pool atmosphere. The condo is nicely decorated and very roomy with a great walk in closet. It would have been nice to have a tv in the living room but it was not necessary. The flat screen in the bedroom was great. The owner thought the building had no number and gave us the wrong address so we had to use hotel across the street as a reference point for our GPS. The bldg does have a number on it though. Owner was very pleasant and great to work with besides that. He called me after my initial inquiry and answered any questions throughout the process. He also called during our stay to let us know where to leave the keys and check on us. The place was clean and located in the best spot for a tourist. We felt comfortable and relaxed there. Isla Verde is a wonderful area and this was the perfect condo for us. It felt like home when we got back from a long day of adventuring through Puerto Rico. We will stay here again our next trip to Puerto Rico!
