My name is Trevor and welcome to our home! My wife and I bought this place at the beginning of the year as our home. I love the lake lifestyle, as I grew up in the Adirondack areas of upstate New York. Lake Keowee, in my opinion is one of the most beautiful lakes one can find in the southeast US. The great thing about it was instead of having 3 good months to enjoy the water, we have 6 or 7 months of warmer weather! In the colder months we'll have just enough time to enjoy the coziness of staying in the house next to the fireplace, and these will be the best times to entertain as well. Holidays will be a blast. Unfortunately work has brought me overseas, so we're bouncing around the globe right now!
Why the Owner Chose Sunset
We chose lake Keowee because it is a stunning lake, is very boat-able, and the water quality and level is great for the majority of the year. We chose the Cliffs Vineyards, not only for the fact that the Cliffs communities are nationally recognized, but are getting international publicity as well. This home site is spectacular, one of the gentlest slopes to the lake available in all of the Cliffs communities. Nestled in the foothills, the vistas are unparalleled when you take a drive around town.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The size of the property, and the "wow" factor when you walk in is great. There's plenty to do inside the house you may not want to leave. I am a chef by hobby, and spend most of my time in the kitchen, but outdoors is great too. There's the mountains virtually next door, the lake is at the back doorstep, and there's golf courses everywhere. It has an "every type of lifestyle" appeal to it.
