Middletown is a secret gem, close to the excitement and restaurants of Newport (5 miles from house) but quiet, elegant, and non-crowded. Indian Avenue is the best street in the town and one property adjacent to this one are currently on market for more than $6M (Other sold for $4M this year). There is great local produce at nearby farms, fabulous running down Indian Ave, along beaches and into Sachuest Point (a 500 acre nature preserve on a peninsula - 4 mile loop from house), great sandy beaches (2nd and 3rd Beach), 3 golf courses, easy shopping, a bird sanctuary and nature trails, and great fishing off the coastline. Superb biking, tennis nearby, surfing, windsurfing, and sailing.

Why the Owner Chose Middletown
Close to Boston, beautiful area, nice beaches, little traffic compared with Cape, low cost of living apart from real estate taxes which are a little ridiculous.
The Unique Benefits at this House
Quiet, no traffic light for three miles, can hear ocean waves and cows at night if you listen closely in nearby fields, great beaches nearby, fabulous running, sailing and windsurfing, great golf, wonderful restaraunts and nitelife, good social scene, live music in Newport. You get the best of Newport, only 7 minutes away by car, without the traffic or crowds.
