You’ve never gotten away from it all until you have vacationed at Dewatto Beach House. It sits on quite possibly the best waterfront on Hood Canal. Nestled at the very end of a long private gravel road, you will experience peace, nature and privacy as never before. Your oasis includes 3 bedrooms, 1.5 baths (sleeping 6 to 8) and an open concept living area featuring vaulted ceilings with gorgeous wood beams. The two-story wall of windows highlights your private 300 feet of no bank Hood Canal waterfront. Relax on the new 1000 square foot deck while taking in the water view and wildlife just steps away. The beach offers plenty of clams and oysters – eat till your heart’s content during your stay. Take a beach stroll in either direction and enjoy the seals, eagles, water and mountain views.

ABOUT THE BEACH HOUSE ~
The vaulted ceilings and enormous wood beams will captivate you from the moment you step inside. There are two bedrooms on the main level (1 queen bed, 1 double bed). There is also a bathroom with a shower and stackable washer and dryer. Enter the living area and experience the great room concept with the large, fully equipped kitchen, adjacent dining area, and comfortable living area – all with unobstructed views of the water just steps away. Soak in the sun or dine alfresco on the new deck off the main living area. Head upstairs to the large master bedroom with a queen bed and futon for more sleeping. The glass window wall allows you to gaze at the view while lying in bed. The upstairs bedroom also offers a half bath.

ABOUT THE WATER AND SURROUNDINGS ~
Hood Canal offers some of the warmest waters in Puget Sound. Take a dip or bring your kayak for exploring. Wildlife abounds in this area where people are greatly outnumbered by animals. At the very end of a private drive, Dewatto Beach House is the only waterfront house around. That means no public beaches, no neighbors, and extreme peace and serenity – a true getaway. Yet it is only 2 hours from the hustle and bustle of Seattle. The driveway is gravel and quite steep, so 4-wheel drive or SUV’s are strongly recommended.

  • What a great place to get away from it all. Make sure you have plenty of food, AWD or 4x4 for the road, and then settle in, harvest oysters at low tide, and enjoy! (only downside: says there are crab pots and a boat -- there are not)

  • The Dewatto Beach House on the Hood Canal is like a slice of heaven. My family and I enjoyed one of the most relaxing, enjoyable, fun-filled vacations ever. We swam, we kayaked, we clammed, we shucked oysters, we hiked, we ate or read or played cards on the deck that overlooked one of the most majestic and beautiful views ever. We stayed for 8 days, and I ached to leave it even then. The house, though not large, easily accommodated all of us without crowding, and it was comfortable--the beds too! We'll be back! (Note: A 4-wheel drive is recommended for the steep driveway).

  • The Road to this house is a little rough, but when we got here, we were so happy that we found an hideaway paradise. The house is so nice, clean, private, quiet, and relaxing. The view is so amazing; the water, the mountain, and the sunset we could see right outside the deck. My family love this place so much, I surely impressed them when I took them here. Plus the seafood is plenty here, we got tons of oysters, clams, fishes, and crabs. We definitely like to come back here and recommend to others.

  • "Dewatto Beach House" what a lovely place, our friends and family have a great time during our stay. We are definitely rent Dewatto Beach House again soon. Any one who love nature and privacy, should rent Dewatoo Beach House. NTS.
