Why the Owner Chose Halfmoon Bay
The earliest record of the Rutherford House was in 1922 in a Pacific Yachting magazine. The house originally served as the old post office, sea plane dock, soda fountain and pool hall for Halfmoon Bay during the first half of the 20th century. The house has remained a Rutherford family treasure ever since. For the last four years, both the house and the grounds have undergone extensive restoration.
