A safe sandy beach awaits you, along with brilliant sunsets, and stunning views. You will discover that Burt Lake is one of northern Michigan's largest and most pristine warm-water inland lakes. You will stay in our private well-equipped guesthouse and be our personal guests. Since we have only one rental unit on our 100 feet of sandy beach, you will have a quiet, relaxing vacation with complete privacy.
Our Burt Lake Guesthouse is clean, recently built, air-conditioned, and completely smoke-free. It comes with a fully-equipped kitchen, open-plan dining and living area. There is a large private queen-size bedroom, and additional sleeping space in the living area. You will have your own breakfast deck, which overlooks the lake. There is nothing between the guesthouse and the lake, except lawn, trees, and beach.
You have your choice of relaxing in the shady hammock, or sunning yourself directly on the beach. You may bring your own boat and use our dock and mooring. You will also have free use of our pedal boat and canoe. The property also includes barbecue, campfire, picnic table, and lounge chairs.
We have the perfect beach for swimming, kayaking, or sailing. Nearby trails are great for hiking and mountain-biking. Dozens of golf courses are in the area, and the nearest is just two miles away. We are centrally located in northern Michigan, less than thirty minutes from Petoskey, Gaylord, Cheboygan, Harbor Springs, and the Mackinaw Island Ferry.

Owner Description
Your hosts are Jess and Pam Miller. We have been hosting guests on Burt Lake since 1992. We have traveled extensively throughout the United States, Canada, and Europe, and we know how important it is to have friendly, informative hosts who offer clean, high quality, accommodations. We have learned that a relaxing vacation is often the result of settling in at one place for a week, and exploring all there is to do in that one area. So if you stay at our Guest-house on Burt Lake, we will greet you in person, and we will offer as much personal contact as you are comfortable with. We will be happy to offer you suggestions on what to do, where to eat, and how to make the most of your entire vacation. Our areas of special interest include kayaking, sailing, mountain-biking, bicycle touring, hiking, cross-country skiing, and down-hill skiing. We are very familiar with the northern Michigan area, including many of the "off the beaten track" places that might not be mentioned in the tour books. We have been residents of the Burt Lake community since 1977. If you are looking for a quiet, relaxing vacation in an area that offers stunning natural beauty, then perhaps we can help you. You should realize that over the last several years, our Burt Lake Guest-house has been completely booked during June, July, and August. If you plan to reserve a week with us, we recommend that you do so as early in the year as possible. Many of our guests return year after year, and we do offer first choice to those who have stayed with us before.
