Marg and I stayed at A Cabin By The Stream for four days, three nights. It is, without a doubt, the best equiped property that we have ever stayed in. The overpowering sense of peace and quiet is really something that must be experienced. Everything was in pristine condition when we arrived and the history of this small town with Elliott NESS is something special. We would, without any hesitation whatsoever, recommed at least three night at A Cabin By The Stream. Thanks for allowing us to share your little piece of PA beauty. Marg and Mike, ANCASTER. Ontario.

Four friends and I stayed at Cabin by the Stream in the Spring of 2010 for our annual Potter County fishing trip. We found the cabin on the internet and were impressed by the photographs of the place. When we arrived we were not disappointed. It was perfect for us! It was big enough to accomodate us, yet small enough that it didn't lose that cozy cabin feel. We might have been most impressed by the little things provided that we didn't expect - towels, coffee, toothbrushes, . . . . We certainly overpacked, and it's nice to know that when we show up next year, we won't need to bring half of the stuff that we brought this year. The owners of the cabin were very accomodating and very easy to communicate with. Overall, great experience! Highly recommended!

Of all the places we travelled in the northeast, this is the closest thing to perfection that we have found…. Falling asleep to the sound of the stream was so peaceful and relaxing…. The Setting, the decorating, the attention to detail, nothing has been forgotten. I look forward to many return visits!

The smell of the woods, the murmuring of the stream, the breeze of the trees were all relaxing. The Cabin was a Goldilocks “just-right-size). Just enough of modern life and just enough of history. We spent the day 4 wheeling…even seeing a bald eagle….all the little touches made you feel well cared for.

This Cabin is an amazing little slice of heaven! Such an amazing week. Our days were spent hiking in the woods, trying to spot wildlife and nights were spent nestling in by the fire for dinner and snacks. We saw trout in the stream as well as well as some crawfish and frogs. So many deer, turkeys, woodpeckers. We think we even saw a bobcat chasing turkeys through the woods. This was definitely one of our most memorable vacations…

Our family came up to see the dark skies at Cherry Springs State Park, It was an awesome sight and not something you can see at home. My son and daughter loved the stream. The 13 years old liked the Wi-Fi and was able to stay connected with her friends….It was so nice not to have to bring everything…This was perfect and we will be back again for some fall foliage and dark skies in the fall.

This Cabin is the best possible combination of rustic charm and modern plumbing. We thoroughly enjoyed everything….Sitting around the fire at night and going to sleep to the sound of the stream. We really had a lovely weekend.

To say A Cabin By The Stream is a pocket sized paradise may sound a bit too gushing, but that’s what it feels like. From the spruce and hemlock edged property to the amazing attention to detail inside all combine to make a delightful and sweet haven.

A four-day three-night getaway in the heavenly countryside in Potter County at A-Cabin-By-The-Stream was a trip to remember. Relaxation, is the one word to best sum it all up. This cabin had all the amenities that we could possibly need therefore no need to pack alot of camping gear. It was so well equipped as if staying at a hotel, but with the added pleasure of having the entire cabin all to ourselves. The kitchen was fully equipped, all the supplies in new condition, some were brand new you could tell. The bathroom was clean and ample supply of soft towels. We adored the eating nook, I even hooked up my laptop there and made use of the free wifi. The living room had a most comfortable (brand new) sofa and loveseat, which we enjoyed resting on while watching some tv and having the heated fireplace make us feel all comfy cozy. More than adequate sleeping quarters upstairs with a walkout balcony. Outside all the tiki lamps and string-lights along with the fire pit and lawn chairs made us feel relaxed outside as well as inside. We loved the stream, and so did our dog. You have to see it to believe it. It was hard to imagine that the actual cabin and stream were just as lovely as the pictures shown. This was truly a favorite relaxing getaway at a most beautiful pristine location. We expect to return. Very Happy, Janet & Jim McKeesport, PA

My Mother, 7 y/o son and I rented this cabin on July 19th originally for three nites, but because it was just so wonderful, we stayed an additional nite. We've rented many cabins in the past and this has got to be one of the best. Chris and Kate thought of everything. My son enjoyed the bug catcher, butterfly net, the coloring book and crayons, etc. We all enjoyed the movies and games. The attention to detail from the soft fluffy towels to the extra toothbrushes was exceptional. While we love to travel around to different cabins and states, we would gladly rent this cabin again.
