Married professional couple living in Manhattan. We bought this beautiful home as a weekend retreat. We love riding our bikes on the Sandy Hook trail or staying in for a barbecue in our lovely backyard.
Why the Owner Chose Highlands
Ease of access: 40 minutes ferry ride from Manhattan, close to NYC bus and trains. Lots to do: Highlands boasts renowned beaches (Sandy Hook, Sea Bright and Long Branch), top-notch restaurants, a lively nightlife scene and outdoor activities.
The Unique Benefits of this House
Beautifully renovated with immaculate bathrooms, bright rooms and brand new fenced-in backyard. It's a quick bike ride / short walk to the beach, walking distance to waterfront restaurants and bars. Close to NYC ferry, NYC bus and trains. Bikes come free with the rental. Free seasonal parking pass at Sandy Hook. Our favorite thing to do is sip coffee in the terrace enjoying the view of the river and ocean and have lunch across the street at the famous Windansea or Inlet Cafe.

Clean, comfortable, spacious and well located. Excellent vacation rental for families or couples. Welcoming neigborhood with lots of great friendly restaurants. Wonderful view of the water from the balcony. Feels like a nautical home on the Jersey Shore with an easy compute into Manhattan. Could not be more pleased.
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with young children, families with teenagers.
Blizzard comfort found here in this Shore rental! It's not all about the Beach.............

I stayed here for 5 weeks during the Christmas holidays/ Blizzard of 2010. It was comfortable and felt like a home away from home. Great location for restaurants, food shopping, movie theater, etc. There are wonderful places for breakfast that are very reasonable and friendly. The neighbors are friendly as well which is always a plus! My golden loved the fenced in yard. Rent this property because the owners are accommodating and you will throughly enjoy your stay!
Recommended for:Romantic getaway, tourists without a car, sightseeing, pet owners, girls getaway, age 55+.
