We just came back from Water Color and while the house photos where accurate I felt to share that the property could use a little TLC. First the outside of the house needs an urgent power wash (too many spiders webs) and the front porch, side porch,back porch and upstairs Master guess rm porch needs to be swept and furniture dusted (did not feel safe using the outdoor furniture because of spiders and other insects). All the grounds outside of house need to be clean(bags and trash) and I would suggest having the house sprayed for roaches (I saw a few around the living rm/kitchen area at night). The couch and chairs are supposed to be white and they were very, very dirty. The two side chairs are from IKEA and the covers can be wash or replaced fairly cheap. The chandelier in the leaving rm had spider webs (the cleaning crew could do a better job, especially if you have small children who like to run around the house without shoes (her feet where black after I gave her a shower from the dirty wooden floor). The linens were clean and bathrooms presentable but the carpet in the downstairs and upstairs rm was very dirty. The house is very cute and comfortable and I would stay there again if the house was clean(all the way around; inside and outside) I only expect what I pay for (this is not an inexpensive house so I expected a better environment in the clean dept. and furniture that I do not feel icky sitting on it! Water Color is a beautiful place and will come back with the family again! I must add I am a picky clean freak..
Owner response:Thank you so much for your feedback. We have since had the house deep cleaned inside and out. We have had pest control out to handle the bug issue. I have informed the owner of the floors and couches and they are working on getting them replaced. We appreciate your business and look forward to seeing you again very soon!

Great home for one or two families. We stayed with our two girls and In-laws and thier two kids. Downstairs bunk room was nice with three bunk beds. Kitchen was very well equipted. We really enjoyed the two back porches and large outdoor dining area and grill. We were comfortable allowing our older girls bike to camp watercolor, it is just a short walk away, but Western Lake Drive can be a fairly busy street with cars usually going over the 17mph speed limit. That would be the only reason I might not book this home in the future... next time we would prefer one of the quieter streets. Watercolor is our favorite family vacation destination, we will return for years to come! -ssedwick from dallas, tx, for stay in 07/2009
