Tamarindo house description
Casa Luna is a quiet and private home on a large wooded lot with huge Guanacaste trees, palm trees and flowering plants. Located on a side road, it is in a little enclave just off the beach on the south end of Tamarindo Bay.
Inside the gate, you feel the atmosphere change as you step into the shade of ancient trees and view your private garden space. All of the species of bird that have made this part of the world so attractive, are right here. You can hear the monkeys calling from the nearby estuary wildlife area.
Yet this house is so close to the safest swimming part of the beach, you can grab your beach towel (provided) and head down for a few minutes to look at the waves and check out the surf or settle in for some serious beach time. The beach path also takes you to the front of Capitan Suizo Hotel with a great bar and restaurant.
Town is about a ten minute walk to all the shops and restaurants, food market and car rental. With 2 queen beds and a twin, Casa Luna is comfortable for 5 persons.

A Great Location!
A Great Location!
My stay was the first week in June 2011. Everything is as it is described and shown, such a great choice! Owner is extremely helpful and has a great housekeeper who will assist also. Everything is within walking distance, beach, and stores nearby. Everyone was very helpful and I am glad this was my choice for my first visit to Costa Rica.

Nice and quite
Nice and quite
Everything all the other reviews said were true. This place is great!! The house has plenty of room and is decorated very nice. I`m not sure why anyone would spend the money to stay in a condo unless they want a pool. The place has a great outdoor shower,so after the beach you can rinse off and sit on one of the 2 patios. It is only 3-4 min. from the beach. It sits on a road that has nearly no traffic.Town is a little walk, but exercise is good. GREAT PLACE!!!

Casa Luna is peaceful and private, removed from the bustling Tamarindo, yet only a a 10 or 15 minute walk -even less on a bicylce - to the center of the town, with its lovely restaurants, cafes, juice bars, clubs, boutiques, food stores, etc. The house is super comfy with a great garden to hang out in, a completely equipped kitchen, lots of light, air conditioning, ceiling fans, WiFi, linens, everything is there. You could literally arrive with a t shirt, shorts, flip flops and a hat, and you'd be fine. The terrific beach is a five minute walk on a tree lined little road. There's a lot of day trips available, hiking, and of course, surfing, surfing, surfing. A great getaway spot.

My family and I are repeat visitors to this home and always look forward to our next visit. This home will offer you location to the beach and town all while offering a sense of seclusion as you are surrounded by a lush tropical garden. The garden is filled with wonderful mature palms, tropical plants and flowers. There are also many different type of birds and monkeys to watch while enjoying a cocktail from your very own thatched roofed outdoor seating area. The house offers a great kitchen with separate dining area. There are 2 bedrooms that offer privacy for couples and 2 baths. There are wonderful restaurants in town, or if you prefer to cook at home there are also grocery stores with great selections. The beach is a short 2 min walk down a pathway where you can swim, surf, shell or just lay back and work on your tan. I highly recommend this home for you vacation.

Ah..where to begin? Casa Luna was incredible. The moment we arrived we felt instantly at home. The place is incredibly beautiful both inside and out. Upon walking through the gate, you are surrounded by your own private jungle. Many nights of our stay we spent out on the patio listening to the birds and monkeys just above us. Such a great experience. Casa Luna is also very centrally located, with a 3 minute walk to the beach and only about a 10 minute beach walk into town, we had endless options for outings. Enjoy!!

About the owner: I am a nature lover and artist who paints animals and loves to find the stories in daily life. Between the house, the beach, the birds and monkeys and other neighboring characters, there are plenty of stories here.
Why the Owner Chose Tamarindo:
To own a house this close to such a wonderful beach is just what I always wanted. Tamarindo has a vital community and all these years later, we still find new sea life and see new birds in our tropical garden.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
I can truly do new paintings with new inspiration. Everyday brings an adventure. Casa Luna sits under huge jungle trees yet is a couple of minutes saunter to the beach.
