Our family spent a week at this wonderful property. The property was perfect for our family ages 2 to 67. We all enjoyed the poo/spa, game room, movie theatre, volleyball court, large yard, and all the amenities this beautiful home offers. My three kids actually cried when it was time to go home. John was great, and made everything super easy and enjoyable. You can't go wrong with this beautiful property. We can't wait to go back!!! Thanks for everything!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Our extended family of 11 spent Christmas 2012 at this beautiful property. The house is very spacious, clean and well-appointed. The kitchen island is a perfect spot for a large group to gather. The room most used, however, was the games room, which is separate from the main house and includes the double queen bedroom. We spent many competitive hours playing pool, ping pong, basketball and foosball. The outside property is very large and well-maintained. The weather was on the cool and cloudy side, and though perfect for using the volleyball court and exploring the area on foot, it was too cool most days even for us Canadians to lounge by the lovely pool. We did use the whirlpool one evening but it took a long time to heat and would have been costly to do regularly. The Temecula area also has a lot to offer – the Old Town and wine region are a short drive from the house and are interesting to explore. Grocery stores, cinemas, and mall shopping are also nearby. Thanks John for renting us this property and special thanks for putting up the Christmas tree – it turned our holiday into a proper festive occasion.Did you find this review helpful? This home is an exceptionally nice location to start & finish busy days of wineries, golf & casinos! Close enough to spend a day at the beach also. The home is just as described in the rental information---roomy with many amenities inside & out. Very clean & well kept & has a nice flow. The kitchen was fully stocked with just about anything you need. The property was landscaped beautifully & the game room a real asset. We traveled here with 5 couples & enjoyed playing games, cooking out & just relaxing in the pool & spa, which were awesome. Even though we are all kids at heart & in our 50's & 60's, that slide made us feel like we were little kids again! Had so much fun just hanging out in that beautiful backyard. We visited several wineries--loved Wilson Creek for their reserve wines & personable pourer, May. She was a lot of fun. Played golf at Redhawk, which was challenging, but scenic. Also, Temecula Creek Inn GC. Most of us had good luck at Pechanga & several enjoyed Old Town & the Olive Oil tasting there. Would definitely recommend this home as a wonderful vacation spot. Even though we were on the go most of the time, I could have just stayed at the house & been very content! The owner, John, is knowledgeable about the area. He was very accomodating & easy to work with.Did you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 1/1

We just got back from an 8 day trip to John's Temecula getaway, and wanted to put out a review while it was all fresh. We had a fantastic time. The property was perfect for all of our ten family members ranging from 2 to 90. There is a ton to do on property with the pool Jacuzzi and waterslide, Gameroom, movie theatre, open grass area for bocci and cornhole, and fire pit with wood buning fire for night time get togethers. There is also a great Golf course within 1000 yards of the property, a casino and wine country. This place was great. Thanks John!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, tourists without a car, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children.

What a fabulous time our family had staying at John's Temecula getaway! We are a family of 12 ranging in ages from 2 to 82 and everyone had a delightful time. What worked excellently well for us was the separate game room which has one bedroom and bathroom, the game room and the movie theatre. The 20 - 30 year olds were able to stay up playing pool and video games while the "older" folks slept comfortably in the main house with no noise!! Yahoo! The setting is fabulous and the fenced pool was reassuring when the 2 year old was outside playing. Great place to take hikes and enjoy the outdoors. John is very accommodating and working with him was so easy and efficient. You would certainly enjoy this wonderful home. We had a fantastic time. Thanks John! My family and I ( ages 3-62) recently spent a week here at John's house. You have all heard the saying that something has the wow factor. Well this house has the wow factor plus. It is ideally located for day visits to the LA and SD area as well as a day trip to Joshua Tree. The kids never were looking for something to do. They were always busy in the game room, watching a movie in the theater room, playing soccer in the vollyball area, or playing in the child gated pool. The adults were happy as well lounging by the pool, soaking in the hot tub, or eating at the outdoor grill. This is one of those places that you have to rent at least once in your lifetime. Hopefully for us it will be more than once. Thanks John for a great vacation week had by all.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

I too was in the group from Grand Forks, ND. Dianne summed it up perfectly. This was a great place to stay as we had a fantastic time. Every detail of the house was just as John had described. AWESOME! Our husbands were fraternity brothers at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and we travel somewhere every year together. I would go back to the Temecula area just to stay in the house again. Thanks John.Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

This home was the perfect getaway for our group. Every detail was thought of right down to the wonderful blankets we used to sit outside on the chilly mornings. We had a group of ten(5 - couples). Our idea was to travel to wine country and tour the wineries but once we arrived at the beautiful home, yes went to some wineries, but we mostly stayed at home and hung out by the pool, in the spa, in the game room or visited in the gorgeous kitchen while we cooked our dinner.. Chef Perry had a perfect set up, with the outdoor kitchen, we had steaks the first night and good old fashion cheeseburgers the last night. The decorating was very updated throughout the house. Comfort was the main theme with big couches and chairs in the family room off the kitchen and in the livingroom was a very comfy couch and lounge chair. All of the bedrooms had plenty of closet and drawer space. Master bedroom had a extremly large walk in closet, large flat scren TV, master bath suite with dual sinks and a soaking tub. All but one bath had built in ceramic showers with clear glass framless doors. the game room was unbelievable. The foosball table was used the most since the guys in our group are all high school and college buddies. Fooseball was the activity most days and night back then. The theatre room had very comfy theatre chairs and John even had a list of movies we could choose from. We LOVED, LOVED this home!!!!Recommended for: Sightseeing, adventure seekers, people with disabilities, age 55+, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, families with young children, girls getaway.

Dear John - We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful resort-like property immensly. We visited from nearby but wanted to get away with our families - children and grandchildren. Everybody had a great time in and around the pool, playing volley ball, hiking around the beautiful area and just simply relaxing. We already recommended your property to friends and will return again. Thank you and kind regards - MarkusRecommended for: Sightseeing, families with teenagers, pet owners, families with young children, girls getaway.
