FABULOUS GET AWAY

Guest: Susan A.
Date of Stay: 11/22/11 Review Submitted: 12/27/11

What a fabulous time our family had staying at John's Temecula getaway! We are a family of 12 ranging in ages from 2 to 82 and everyone had a delightful time. What worked excellently well for us was the separate game room which has one bedroom and bathroom, the game room and the movie theatre. The 20 - 30 year olds were able to stay up playing pool and video games while the "older" folks slept comfortably in the main house with no noise!! Yahoo! The setting is fabulous and the fenced pool was reassuring when the 2 year old was outside playing. Great place to take hikes and enjoy the outdoors. John is very accommodating and working with him was so easy and efficient. You would certainly enjoy this wonderful home. We had a fantastic time. Thanks John! The Taylor Clan

WOW!!

My family and I ( ages 3-62) recently spent a week here at John's house. You have all heard the saying that something has the wow factor. Well this house has the wow factor plus. It is ideally located for day visits to the LA and SD area as well as a day trip to Joshua Tree. The kids never were looking for something to do. They were always busy in the game room, watching a movie in the theater room, playing soccer in the vollyball area, or playing in the child gated pool. The adults were happy as well lounging by the pool, soaking in the hot tub, or eating at the outdoor grill. This is one of those places that you have to rent at least once in your lifetime. Hopefully for us it will be more than once. Thanks John for a great vacation week had by all.

I too was in the group from Grand Forks, ND. Dianne summed it up perfectly. This was a great place to stay as we had a fantastic time. Every detail of the house was just as John had described. AWESOME! Our husbands were fraternity brothers at the University of North Dakota in Grand Forks and we travel somewhere every year together. I would go back to the Temecula area just to stay in the house again. Thanks John.

Great House..a must stay for all!!!

Date of Stay: 04/22/11 Review Submitted: 05/05/11

This home was the perfect getaway for our group. Every detail was thought of right down to the wonderful blankets we used to sit outside on the chilly mornings. We had a group of ten(5 - couples). Our idea was to travel to wine country and tour the wineries but once we arrived at the beautiful home, yes went to some wineries, but we mostly stayed at home and hung out by the pool, in the spa, in the game room or visited in the gorgeous kitchen while we cooked our dinner.. Chef Perry had a perfect set up, with the outdoor kitchen, we had steaks the first night and good old fashion cheeseburgers the last night. The decorating was very updated throughout the house. Comfort was the main theme with big couches and chairs in the family room off the kitchen and in the livingroom was a very comfy couch and lounge chair. All of the bedrooms had plenty of closet and drawer space. Master bedroom had a extremly large walk in closet, large flat scren TV, master bath suite with dual sinks and a soaking tub. All but one bath had built in ceramic showers with clear glass framless doors. the game room was unbelievable. The foosball table was used the most since the guys in our group are all high school and college buddies. Fooseball was the activity most days and night back then. The theatre room had very comfy theatre chairs and John even had a list of movies we could choose from. We LOVED, LOVED this home!!!!

Dear John - We enjoyed our stay at your beautiful resort-like property immensly. We visited from nearby but wanted to get away with our families - children and grandchildren. Everybody had a great time in and around the pool, playing volley ball, hiking around the beautiful area and just simply relaxing. We already recommended your property to friends and will return again. Thank you and kind regards - Markus

We had the best time here, having just spent a week with my wife and kids (4,5), along with my sister-in-law, her husband, and their 3 kids (4,7,9). The house was immaculate, and the description provided was 100% accurate. The layout was perfect for a family vacation, with plenty of lounging and sleeping space for everyone. The kitchen had everything we needed to cook, along with a great outdoor eating/grilling space. The separate guest house, which contains the game room and theater, provided additional space and endless entertainment for the kids. The pool was the biggest hit, as the kids went down the rock slide hundreds of times. We really didn't need to do anything else - the kids were thrilled to hang out at the house. The location is close enough to a lot of nearby attractions, though, and we spent time at the San Diego Zoo and Legoland. The nearby golf courses were great as well, with a lot of quality courses within a 30 minute drive (Journey at Pechanga is 10 minutes away and a lot of fun, Palm Springs was a 90 minute drive but still possible for a day trip). The town of Temecula was close by, with shopping, restaurants, and grocery stores easily accessible. Lastly, John (owner) was a great resource. He was there to greet us and give us the overview of the house. He was available by phone and email before and during the trip. I would not hesitate to stay here again, and I would recommend it without any hesitation whatsoever. Billing was easy via credit card, and all receipts were provided upon arrival. This was the easiest rental I can imagine, thanks for a great family vacation.

This property has everything you could ask for! We were in town for a family wedding and stayed for 9 days with 10 adults (age 60-27), 1 child, and 2 babies. It was plenty of room! The beds were comfortable; home was so clean, plenty of activities and fun onsite, great for all ages. The pool is resort style and also great for all ages. We would definitely recommend to family and friends and would love to stay again! The owner was a pleasure to work with.

This was our 6th annual family get-away and we had a great time. The pool was awesome and we spent many hours in it. The built-in slide is amazing and we used it over and over again. The house is beautiful and well laid out and the kitchen well appointed. We had a great time and look forward to using this, or other of the owner's properties in the future. Thank you.

Our Vacation in Southern California

My family rented the estate during my son's wedding which was held at one of the winery's in Temecula (Southcoast Spa and Winery). The home was just perfect and my son thanked me just before leaving on his honeymoon. He wanted me to know how much having all his family together at this particular home for a few days before the ceremony made the occasion even more spectacular. The pictures don't do it justice. And the owner provides personal service throughout your stay - always available and helpful. Absolutely awesome!

Perfect Family Get Away!

Guest: Will Travel to Great Homes (Buffalo, NY)
Date of Stay: 04/10/09 Review Submitted: 05/05/09

We were lucky enough to rent this house for Easter weekend. My mother, step father, aunt, uncle, 4 cousins, my husband, two children and I all rented the house. We ranged in age from 8 to 80 and there was something for every one. The kitchen has great space where multiple people could work together to cook. The grounds are beautiful and the Easter Bunny had no problem finding places to hide the eggs. The pool is better than ever imagined. It was crystal clean and the kids loved the slide. Every bedroom and bathroom was so clean it felt like we were the first people to ever stay there. The fact that the game room and movie theater were in their own house was perfect. The adults could talk and relax while the kids had fun in the game room. There is not one thing that I would change about this house. If we are ever in the area again this will be the only place we stay.

Great Place

Date of Stay: 03/28/09 Review Submitted: 04/04/09

We stayed here on 3-28 to 4-4-09. Our family takes a trip every spring break and we all agreed this is the best place we've stayed. The pictures don't do it justice. The home is beautiful; the theater room is great, just like watching it in a big theater. They even provide movies. There is so much to do between the pool with a fast slide, water falls and rocks to jump from, the jetted hot tub, pool table, ping pong, air hockey, fuse ball, arcade games, and the volleyball court, we all felt we could have had a great vacation just staying here. We have a large group and between us we traveled to 6 flags (awesome roller coasters!) LA, Hollywood, Universal, Disney word, Sea world, and the San Diego Zoo. All within driving distance, plus the down town Temecula has nice shopping. The house handled 16 of us including kids, with no problem and was beautifully maintained, granite counter tops, an absolutely beautiful master suite. I would highly recommend it and we will be back! My 15 year old announced she wants to get married here and then stay here for the honeymoon.....I think she liked it!

Our Wedding in Temecula

Date of Stay: 01/02/09 Review Submitted: 01/13/09

My Fiance and I were looking for a unique place to have our wedding. We came accross this home on Homeaway made a trip to see it and fell in love with the estate. We had a few family members fly in from Ohio so this home was perfect for their accomodations as well as for my fiance and I. The wedding turned out beautiful. The property was the perfect back drop for our wedding photos and our guest for that day had a great time at the fire pit, game room and grounds to walk and possibly steel a kiss Thank John! This is a beautiful home which was in immaculate condition. Our clan consisted of 4 siblings with their mates and children and our mom of 89 years. The layout couldn't have been better. There were no steps to tackle so Mom was able to navigate all over the house without any problem. The game room was perfect for all the grandkids. The location is great with plenty to do - wine tasting and gambling at the casino. We all had a wonderful time!!

Christmas Celebration

Guest: Christmas Travelers (Long Beach CA)
Date of Stay: 12/22/08 Review Submitted: 07/21/09

My family leased this property for the Christmas Holidays. It was an outstanding way to get everyone together under one roof. The property was clean, almost as if it was not a rental. The pictures are exactly as it appears. The owner is incredibly helpful and accommodating. My family went into town several times, found a great restaurant for Christmas tamales and enjoyed some wine tasting. We would most certainly rent the property again.

Luvin Life Here

Date of Stay: 12/12/08 Review Submitted: 01/05/09

The home was absolutely immaculate. The house had a nice floorplan that allowed for complete privacy in all the bedrooms or for gatherings in the public areas. The furnishings and sleeping areas were very comfortable and with the peaceful surroundings, it is very easy to relax and get away from it all. The kitched allowed for several chefs at once as there was plenty of room for everyone to work. And with the adjacent family room, other guests could conveniently socialize with everyone in the kitchen as well. The game room, complete with several game tables, a theater room, and an additional bedroom/bathroom, was a fantastic place to hang out and have lots of fun. The pool/spa/bbq area was a great place to have fun, hang out, and just be with everyone even in wintertime as this area is sheltered from the winds. the surroundings made for a quiet and peaceful setting and provided nice walking tours, especially to the water towers where there is a great view of the whole valley below. Overall, this place is fantastic for all ages and provided plenty of activities for all - whether they be together or alone. There is certainly plenty of space, both inside and out to roam around, grab a private moment, or just relax together. Also, the gazebo provided great views of the property and surrounding area as well.

Designing my own 50th Birthday Weekend 12/12

Guest: svalbe (Palmdale, CA)
Date of Stay: 12/12/08 Review Submitted: 12/23/08

My 50th birthday is 12/26 and I heard whispers from my family and group of friends of a surprise party. I did not want this (especially this time of year) in my own house or anyone elses. So I took control and planned my own party. Thi particular property could not have been more perfect. For 12 people (two of those being my parents) the house was so spacious, along with the guest house we never got in each others way. John the property owner arranged a limo for wine tasting on Saturday and I found a chef to prepare dinner for us one night. The perfect 50th.

I rented this house for me and 15 of my dear friends as we were celebrating my upcoming wedding. We had a GREAT time and the house was wonderful. We only left the house once to do a bit of wine tasting on Saturday afternoon. Besides that we were able to entertain ourselves at the house with the pool, the water slide, the jacuzzi, the game room and the movie room. There was plenty of beds and bathrooms for 16 of us and the price was unbelievable. We will definitely rent this house again in the future! Thanks John!1

Our perfect girls weekend getaway

Guest: One of the 9 fabulous girls (San Diego)
Date of Stay: 10/03/08 Review Submitted: 10/14/08

We are a group of 9 women from San Diego and we wanted a great place to relax and hang out the first weekend of October in 2008. We found this place on homeaway.com and decided to book it. We had a previous bad experience with a booking through vrbo.com, and a home owner in Palm Springs who cancelled on us and returned a bad check to us, so we needed something quick. John, the owner of the Temecula home, was extremely flexible, came to our rescue. He accommodated to all of our last minute demands and needs, and is a very decent guy. Our weekend was a great success, we had a blast in the pool, on the slide and dancing in the living room until late at night. John, you and your wife rock and the house is fantastic. Thanks and see you next time! PS We did finally get our monies returned from the owner of the Palm Springs house, but next time we will go to John's house in Temecula again! No more Palm Springs for us!

A great weekend in Temecula

Date of Stay: 09/26/08 Review Submitted: 10/01/08

My family struggled to put a BD party together for my Mom, her 80th. All she wanted was to have all her kids, grandkids and great-grandkids together. We decided to rent a vacation home that could accomodate all 16 of us ranging in ages from 80 to 18 months. The owner was extremely helpful and very easy going. The house has everything you'll need and it caters to all ages. Very modern, well done and extremely well maintained. We just simply spent the whole weekend in the house. The pool was a favorite of the tweens and teens, fire pit was a hit and the BBQ area was enjoyed by all. The entire house was fully stocked as if you were in a 1st class hotel. The kitchen had everything you need. The play room and home theater was a huge hit with the kids as well. We had a great weekend, and the BD girl had the time of her life. I will not hesistate to recommend this home to anyone if given the opportunity. Thanks

Vacation Rental #200345 Utopia of Temecula

Date of Stay: 08/23/08 Review Submitted: 09/04/08

I was interested in renting a home for my two day vacation on Saturday, August 23rd, 2008 I had the most inviting, serene experiene on this property. The description was acurate. Once I got there I was in awe. This property is perfect for the family who wants to feel at home. The pool and jacuzzi are all ran by remote control, and my family enjoyed games and movies in the separate game room. The kitchen is very spaciaous, and tastely decorated. It is handicap friendly, very elegant and family oriented. I felt as if I could go with a formal dinner or a family pizza night. The property was maintained well and in excellent condition, with beautiful manicured landscaping. I did not have to do anything but unpack my bags. Everything was provided for me. The owner provided limousine transportation to my outings to Pechanga Casino, and gave an outstanding tour of the Temecula Valley Winery. I did not have to worry about driving. I throughly recommend everyone to share the wonderful experience like I had at this property. My family and I look forward to coming back. I thank the owners for great hospitality, and providing such a beautiful place for vacationers like myself.
