Swing in your hammock between the palm trees while you listen to the ocean's waves, or relax with a cup of coffee on your covered back porch. Grab a towel and beach chair and walk the few steps to the turquoise blue sea. The choice is yours. After a relaxing day at one of Vieques' many beautiful beaches, come home and cool off in your own private pool.

A Beachfront Bungalow is nestled on the beachfront of Santa Maria's quiet shoreline on beautiful Vieques Island. Our three bedroom two bath home is tastefully furnished in a relaxed comfortable island style. Amenities include a private pool, washer/dryer, hammock, beach chairs and, of course, the inviting blue sea. Additional extras included are a grill, outdoor rinsing shower, washer/dryer, Chris Madden towels, 500 Threadcount sheets, down-alternative pillows, lounge chairs, ceiling fans, satellite TV with HBO and Movie channel, beach towels and chairs. All 3 bedrooms have airconditioning. Two bedrooms have king sized beds, and one bedroom has twins.

A Beachfront Bungalow is located just a mile east of the town of Isabel II on one of Bravos de Bostons' little known coral reef-fringed, sandy beaches. Just a short stroll west on the beach will lead to an ideal sandy area to begin enjoying snorkeling and swimming in the warm inviting ocean. More adventuresome explorers can head east for miles of sandy and rocky coastline walking and visiting with the wild horses that wade in the surf .

  • Hi Gail & Michael, Sorry we never connected by phone! We had a very nice time at your beach rental. It was perfect - liked the decor, the bed was very comfortable & the location was great. We appreciated having satellite & free phone service. We hung out in the pool a lot or down at the beach with our coffee in the morning or wine at night. We snorkeled there twice. It was VERY hot, but we didn't use the AC. We preferred cooling off in the pool then using the ceiling fan, so we could still listen to the ocean & night-time sounds! The weather turned out to be perfect. A little stormy the first day when we arrived, as remnants of TS Erika were still lingering. After a little shower Sunday afternoon, the only other rain occurred a couple evenings after dark. We loved the beaches & couldn't believe how empty they were. Our favorite was Navio - we used the "boogie boards" there. Blue Beach was very pretty, but we just stopped by there to take pictures. The biobay was amazing! We used Abe's & kayaked out to the middle. There was just one other couple & no one else around. A little lightening off in the distance, but an otherwise calm evening. We loved all the little lizards & saw the iguanas a couple times around the pool. Very cool! Thanks again for allowing us to visit your lovely home!   • This is a beautiful bungalow in a georgous setting! The ocean is right outside the front door with a nice little beach. The house is very well stocked with everything you need and more. The pool in the back is fantastic, we used it everyday. The beaches in Vieques are some of the best we have ever been to and we are beach people. The water is beautiful and clear for snorkeling. The variety of beaches and wild life on the island were great. We saw wild horses, iguana, lizards, crabs and animals that looked like little minks. Our kids loved it. We also found some great dining on the island. We would love to come back again.

  • Dear Mr. and Mrs. Gordon: I am thanking you from myself and my family for the wonderful time we had at your "A Beachfront Bungalow". I can't start to tell you what we loved best about this beautiful home. There are so many things that you have done to make this a wonderful vacation spot. Tom and Alberto were such great managers. They met us at the ferry with a friendly smile and drove us to the home. They were very professional and very eager to show us around. When they took us to the home I was floored as well as my daughter and son-in-law were. The place was beautiful with the view of the Atlantic Ocean from the porch. Everywhere we looked there was beauty. My 2 yr old grandson and 9 yr old nephew fell inlove with the pool. We went early some mornings and collected shells from the waterfront, in front of the home and just strolled along the shoreline. The best time for me was like 6am when I would go swimming all by myself and reflect on the day before and what we were going to do that day. If anyone rents this home you will not be disappointed because it is a great place to go. I hope to go there again for vacation. Emma- Geneva,NY 06/09

  • A Beachfront Bungalo was everything we hoped for, and more. It was exactly as advertised and pictured on its web site – which is important when you don’t have an opportunity to visit a property before renting it. It was casual, comfortable and accommodating and the new owners have thought of all the little things that make a beach vacation perfect: blender, lots of generous towels, plenty of beach chairs, a cooler, a grill, etc. Even had a washer and dryer so we could pack light and have room in our carry-ons for our snorkeling equipment. There’s a nice snorkeling spot just a few minutes walk from the house and several other great sites within a short drive. The location couldn’t be better: private without being remote, on a lovely beach perfect for long walks, and minutes from superb restaurants and fantastic beaches. The on-island property managers were professional, helpful, and responsive. The garden pool provided a wonderful respite from the sun. We enjoyed our stay tremendously and can’t wait to come back to A Beachfront Bungalow Best, Julie

    Our family had an amazing time on Vieques and at Casita Del Sol y Mar. The island itself was gorgeous. The beaches were pristine. The villa had everything we needed and more (towels, chairs, grills, kitchen supplies, etc.). The place was clean and spacious. We were located right on the Atlantic Ocean. There was even beautiful fringe coral located steps away from the villa that we snorkeled on multiple occasions. The coral and fish were extremely colorful. The beach has a nice sandy area to swim too. We even had our own private pool at the villa equipped with an outdoor shower. It was nice to be able to wash off after a day at the beach. The vacation was better than I ever expected it to be. The owners are amazing. They contacted us while on the island and made sure we had everything we needed. We had no problems arriving at the villa either. The onsite management was great. We definitely want to come back again!
