Charming, vintage family cottage, known as "Bonnaire" features the most spectacular views and sunsets in all of Grand Haven. Bonnaire is on a bluff overlooking the gorgeous public beach, state park, lighthouse and pier. Poised on Lot #1 of the historic Highland Park Association, this home provides all the conveniences: washer/dryer, dishwasher, 2 refrigerators, cable TV.
Furnished with antique wicker throughout the first level, boasts cozy sunroom for lazy days, screened porch wrapping around the front of the cottage and along one side, large dining room for those family meals, card games, etc. Cozy living room with woodburning fireplace, plenty of board games for those family evenings after long, Western Michigan summer days; this is the summer beach cottage of your childhood memories.
The owners have been spending summers here since the 1960's, and the cottage is filled with family photos and memorabilia, and is a place to be relaxed in and enjoyed. Right across from the house is a wooden deck with built-in benches, where the neighbors gather each evening to toast the sunset. Stairs lead down to the beach from the deck. Bonnaire's wide front porch steps provide your own, private vantage point from which to enjoy the nightly show of the sun dipping into Lake Michigan.
Linens and beach towels provided, beach chairs, toys - everything is here for that family vacation on one of Michigan's best beaches. The town of Grand Haven, with its shops, restaurants and friendly bars is only a mile or so away, either a leisurely stroll or a very quick drive or bike ride. Two parking spaces provided.
Most guests return year after year. Some good dates are still available for summer weeks, weekends, short visits (check availability calendar).

The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Beaches as big as Daytona, Fla (without the traffic) and we enjoy walks, swimming, yoga, skim boarding, body surfing, people watching, volleyball, frisbee, all of the beach activities for all ages. Short walk to town for great restaurants (favorites are Oyster Bar, Kirby, Steak House, Bil Mar, and Dee Lite) and shopping. Golf at Grand Haven Golf Club is fantastic. Michigan Adventure Amusement Park 25 minutes, charter boats for fishing or sailing, tennis, skate park, and amazing play structure close by at YMCA in town. You'll love the warmth of the local community-the people here are absolutely lovely.
