This is my family's vacation home that we have opened to our family and friends for their enjoyment. The house is situated on a private corner lot in a residential neighborhood. It is a quick drive to Harwich's Town Center as well as the Town Beaches and a quaint stretch of shopping. The Cape Cod Bike Path runs behind the neighborhood and can be enjoyed for 30 miles in either direction. The town of Harwich has great restaurants and shopping, as well as long, sandy beaches along the Nantucket Sound. Visitors can enjoy daytrips to Nantucket or chartering a fishing boat for blues and stripers. There are two public golf courses in town to entice avid golfers, and we are only a few minute drive to go-carts and trampolines for the kiddies. Last, but not least, there is a Cape League Baseball team that plays in town - a blast for young kids to enjoy!!!
The actual house is only 10 years old, so it has the feel of a comfortable Cape cottage but includes many of today's amenities that vacationing families look for. It's "Pottery Barn"-like design offers comfort and style, making it a perfect spot to relax and unwind. Most of the downstairs living area has hardwood floors that are easy to clean when you come home from the beach and don't want to worry about sand in your toes. The yard and neighborhood are great for young children to play outside, and dogs are negotiable. One of favorite activities is to grill and eat out on the back porch!

Why the Owner Chose Harwich
Harwich beaches are perfect for families with young children because the warm, calm waters of Nantucket Sound are easily accessible. There are some great restaurants nearby, including our favorite - Clancy's on Bass River. It is easy to get to Chatham and/or the Bay Side from our house. For those who enjoy golf - Harwich offers a fantastic course, Cranberry Valley, which is open to the public. If a daytrip to Nantucket is in your plans, or perhaps a chartered fishing trip - both are easily accessed at one of the local harbors in Harwichport.
