Is your dream a family vacation? Mom, dad, grandparents, the kids? This is the place for you. Very few private apartments in Rome are this large or will handle this many guests. When others advertise they have accommodations what they have is 2 or 3 efficiency apartments or 1 bedroom apartments all in the same building. Here you can come home, have that Italian meal you have seen in the movies and reconnect with your loved ones.
This warm, welcoming apartment can become your home away from home in Rome. That is if home has Frette sheets and a maid!! This large, spacious apartment has room for 6 before anybody has to sleep on the sofa (which is very comfortable). The second bedroom has a loft that sleeps 2 as well as twin beds. The master bedroom is on the opposite side of the apartment and is a charming loft.
Tall windows allow a great cross breeze keeping the apartment cool in all but the hottest weather. There is a small air conditioner.
Attractions include within 1 and 1/2 blocks is the Porta Angelus which is one of the main entrances to St. Peter's square. The entrance to the Vatican Museums is 3 blocks away. The major tram stop at Piazza Risorgiomento is 1 block away. Public transit in Rome is easy, cheap and dependable. You are 4 blocks from Castel San Angelo and about 3/4 of a mile from Piazza Navona.
The walk to central Rome is down winding, narrow ancient streets loaded with shops selling everything from A - Z antiques to zebras (a large toy one at Piazza Navona). If you are tired all the major bus lines and 2 tram lines come within 2 blocks of the apartment. Close enough for ease but not so close as to be noisy.
The landlord will assist you with maps, how to purchase tickets for the metro and any other problems. She is a native English speaker but has lived in Italy for over 20 years. She has been a guide in Rome for over 15 years and has lead many pilgrimages for Irish tourists.
If you are looking for a long term rental we are available for $3500 per month. The apartment has 2 large closets for storing luggage and the souvenirs you buy. The closets have many hangers with more available from the landlord.
You receive a pre-paid cell with 10 euro of time and we can help you add more time as needed. You only pay for calls you make, not those you receive. This will give your family a contact number in Rome before you leave so that you are not out of touch.
The building fronts on a chestnut tree lined street with a grocery and farmers market less than 2 blocks away. Restaurants are innumerable and the Old Bridge Gelato shop is 2 blocks away. Some of the best Gelato in Rome!!
