...and it is a spectacular view..!..we (a couple) stayed here for 12 blissful days in october of 2011...our interests on the island were primarily walking the footpaths, incorporating sightseeing, hiking and photography....these along with a comfortable apartment settng....no disappointment here...talk about sunsets..! we couldn't have done much better with this scenic location at the top of the caldera....imergovigli, we will never forget the name or the place... easy walking access to all shopping needs and the excellent local busses....(we didn't bother with a car)....our stay was in the larger of the two studios, actually a suite of two cozy rooms connected by a steep ladder stairway....with a small private outdoor balcony accessed through an upstairs bedroom door.......we shared a larger terrace area with comfortable seating and tables with the other guests....it was great...we also spent our last night in the large central apartment which could easily accomodate a good sized family ..it was spacious and comfortably furnished.....the units were cleaned daily and and provided reliable internet service through a plug in cable..... there were plenty of luxury units surrounding us with pools and room services ....but veranda view was not about providing a service luxury.... it rather provides a truly unique experience in greek island living....not the least of the amenities there is Antonia ....who is an exceptional greek caretaker.....we were completely happy with our stay there .....

We found ourselves in Santorini while trying to find a calmer and cleaner place to stay than Athens. By a wonderful twist of fate, we ended up here. It is absolutely beautiful. We stayed in the main apartment, which is big and airy, with super high rounded ceilings and a lovely, open, yet cozy esthetic. The views of the caldera and the sea from the front deck are swoon worthy. The little kitchen is very adequate; we tried to eat two meals a day here to save money, and splurged for one really good meal per day. The shower is a bit small, and if you're not careful you'll get water everywhere, but hey, small price to pay for this amazing place. Water is limited on this island, so it helps to keep showers fairly short. Part of what made our stay here so wonderful is our hostess, Antonia. She is absolutely gracious, kind, and very helpful. She speaks fluent English, which was nice. Our daughter was feeling the woes of having eaten/drunk something that didnt agree with her when we found this place, and Antonia went out of her way to help us out. She even called the pharmacist to make sure that our daughter could have the medicine she recommended, and she provided us with nice dry toasts and recommendations of what to eat for a day or so. If you have to be sick while halfway across the world, you couldn't feel more cared for. If you want a beautiful, very sea-Greek, airy place with a wonderful hostess and off the beaten path enough to be peaceful yet within 20 minutes walk from the main town (Fira), look no further. We highly recommend Veranda View.

Just returned after spending 9 days at this property. We stayed in the studio which was great. Both studios are small but include everything you need and are great value. One has a loft bedroom with a private balcony. Both studios and one bedroom have the Santorini view everyone dreams about. The owner lives on site and is fantastic. Rooms are cleaned daily, coffee and orange juice daily, travel and dinner suggestions always available. The pictures displayed on the website do not do the place justice when you walk out to your balcony every morning your jaws will drop. I was not going to write a review because I wanted to keep the place to myself. When I read the previous review I felt the writer was out of line. This place is a gem and so is the owner. If the place is available book it right away. It is the best value you will find.

Stayed off season in September. Took the studio for two- which is not photographed. Choices are actually two very, very small apartments. Have kitchen faciilities, but no table to eat at. Ons studio is small kitchen & bath-then attic type steps to the bedroom. Not at all what I was hoping for. Owner is very nice, and accomodating-but the listing just doesn't reperesent the property well. My advice: ask lots of questions first.
Owner response:Thanking you for your stay in our premises. Photo presented in advertisment represents the appartment only. Regarding Studios, the info given also represents exactly the accomondation offering. No pics of Studios displayed. We believe that the info given is fully representative of our services and luxuries and no misleading is caused ,for we value our every customer and offer them the best services. Our first priorities are satisfaction and hospitality.
