Why the Owner Chose Hamilton

Our vacation rental is a true getaway. It is so peaceful, beautiful and pristine on Snowberry Lane. Who wouldn't want to spend some time up there!

The Unique Benefits at this Cabin

Lots of great wildlife; wonderful trails just 3 miles away; the charming town of Hamilton just 5 miles away; so much to do - so little time!

Owner's Map of Hamilton

Mike and Karla West welcome you to the Bitterroot Valley! The Wests moved to Hamilton from Steamboat, Colorada in 1975. They have been blessed to call Snowberry Lane "home" for 35 years. Mike can point you in the direction of a good trout stream and Karla knows all the best antique shops in the valley.

Bitterroot Fishing Loft - Quiet, Peaceful, Nestled on 29 Acres

A great place in Montana in the last great place, Montana.

It stands to reason Montana couldn't be the "Last great place" if it didn't contain great places. The Fishing Loft is definitely numbered among them. A quiet place in the forest away from the noise and smell of the city, but comfortably close to a town that has everything you would reasonably need. Clean, quiet, well maintained, and hosts that can make good recommendations for where to eat, what to see, etc. What else could you ask for? Not handicap accessible, since it has stairs.

Baseball Moms very happy!

I travel across Montana during the summer attending various baseball tournaments with my sons. I travel with another Mom and we love staying in VRBOs as an excellent alternative than the local hotels. We can comfortably stretch out, make meals, and make a home away from home for the kids. The Bitterroot Fishing Loft was a welcome retreat for us while we were in Hamilton. We loved the beautiful mountain setting and every morning took beautiful walks along the lupine filled trails. Thank you for a great weekend!

Beautiful Setting!

My husband and I rented this loft for an extended stay in the Bitterroot Valley and couldn't have picked a better place. It's close to the Blodget Canyon trails (definitely within walking distance), but still only about 4 miles to town. The owners are very courteous and accommodating. The living quarters were clean and well furnished, and the morning sunlight coming through the kitchen window went great with coffee and pancakes. We had a great stay and will recommend this place to our friends.

Just perfect!

My husband and I really enjoyed our stay at the fishing loft. It was totally peaceful, totally beautiful and totally "Montana". We have already talked about going back! Mike and Karla were the perfect hosts, just helpful enough when we needed advice on where to go and what to do. We went hiking and fishing while in Hamilton - I caught a 19" Brown Trout! - and spent some time just relaxing, too. We strongly recommend going to Jackson Hot Springs for an evening soak! Really couldn't ask for more...
