Why the Owner Chose Hermosa Beach
Hermosa Beach is located only 15 minutes South of the Los Angeles Airport and close to all the attractions that the city has to offer. At the South end of the Santa Monica Bay it is surrounded by great neighbor cities of Manhattan and Redondo Beach. Looking west to the Pacific is the enchanting Catalina Island a must to see. Only 1 1/2 hours to San Diego and Mexico and closer to Palm Springs, the Getty, Disneyland, Universal Studios, Knotts Berry Farm, Beverley Hills and Rodeo Drive or the home of the Dodgers, Lakers, AVP Volleyball and great Universities such as USC, UCLA and Pepperdine.
The Unique Benefits at this Home
This home has 3 car parking and 1 guest permit means we can park 4 cars especially great during those crowded Summer Weekends. The guest bedroom with accompanying Den that sleeps an additional 2 is on the first floor with Travertine Bath and 2 TV's. This first level has a regulation size pool table. An elevator at the garage will carry the groceries up to the 3rd floor and the Granite Kitchen with stainless steel appliances, center island and temperature controlled wine cabinet. The 16' ceiling at the kitchen has 2 powered skylights that close automatically with rain sensors should the need arise. The home features 12' ceilings and 10' doors with ceiling fans in all the bedrooms for warm summer nights. Cameras record any activity on the north and south perimeters and also view who is at the front door by hidden camera that is viewed by TV. The deck off the kitchen has the SS BBQ and circular steps up to the roof deck with chaise lounges and umbrella. There you can listen to music from the media room and enjoy a dip in the Jacuzzi while viewing the entire Santa Monica Bay with your favorite wine.

We have always loved Hermosa Beach and built this home there in 2001 to raise our 5 son's. Hermosa Beach was selected the #1 Beach in the USA by Readers Digest. Our weekends were a day at the beach with the boy's and their friends swimming, surfing and playing volleyball. We set up at the waters edge with umbrella and cooler and visited with friends as they strolled by. At the end of the day the sunset meant it was time to return home and fire up the BBQ. Now we have a new Jeanneau 54' Sailboat from France at Portofino Marina just a bike ride from this home. We'll be spending more time sailing the Santa Monica Bay and taking short cruises to Catalina Island just 3 1/2 hours from our home Port King Harbor. Charters are available please inquire or surf lessons from a certified instructor.
