If you are looking for a cozy, quiet, rustic retreat...then this is the place for you!
This cabin has a beautiful view of the lake from the deck or 3 season porch. It has steps down to the lake with a comfortable dock to sit and enjoy your morning coffee or throw a line in to catch a fish for supper!
There are two bedrooms, a living room, kitchen and bathroom. There is only cold running water here...been that way for 20 years. I've just gotten used to heating water on the stove for doing dishes or taking a sponge bath. It adds to the rustic feel of the place. I just found out that the motel in Remer rents a shower room for $7.00, well worth it if you are staying a week!
There is a huge picnic table, charcoal grill and fire pit in the yard..great for picnics with s'mores! If you don't feel like cooking there are restaurants in the area within 10-20 miles. They even have turtle races on Wednesdays in nearby Longville!
Although you will have so much fun at the cabin with books to read, games to play, and fish to catch that you probably won't want to leave! Oh yeah, comfortable beds for that much needed nap!
This place is great for a couple, a small family or a few friends that want to get away from the hustle- bustle of everyday life.

Year Purchased: 1990
I am recently divorced within the last few years and I own and operate a small antique store in a small town west of Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am adding a dollar store so I probably won't have much time to spend at the cabin, which is why I decided to share it with others.
Why the Owner Chose Remer
I spent many summers in northern Minnesota when I was younger, I even lived on Leech Lake for awhile. I liked Little Thunder Lake when I first saw it because it was not so commercialized. It is 4 miles off of the highway on dirt roads, so it is pretty peaceful and quiet there. I have enjoyed many nights going to sleep with the sounds of the loons serenading me. There is a lot of wildlife around- deer, bear, fox, raccoon, yes even skunks! and tons of birds!
