This was definately a gem. We were looking for a vacation rental to ease our move transition from the mainland and wanted to stay in a place that met our needs of a home, and was child friendly. This place was it. The northshore is such a pleasant place to stay at in Hawaii, we enjoyed the snorkling, surf, beaches, and the local eateries in town. Fabulous! You are also within walking distance to the grocery store around the corner. We stayed for 2 weeks, and it felt like home. It had everything we needed. We also had two little kids (2.5 years, and 1 year) and it was child friendly. The owners Samuel and Vanessa were wonderful, and if we needed anything they were quick to respond via text or calling us back promptly during our stay. Wifi was great, along with the other amenities. Very big plus to have a washer and dryer too! Very Safe and Secure location, cause it is within a gated area. Very comforting to go to sleep and wake up to the sounds of the ocean. Would definately stay here again, or refer to friends if they come visit Oahu. The pictures do not do it justice, you have to see for yourself, but I can bet you will not be disappointed.

We really enjoyed staying at this property. What we enjoyed most was that it was so quiet and out of the way compared to most places on the island. It wasn't too quiet as you're right across the street from the ocean and it's an easy walk to the beach, but there is a lot less traffic and people around. The tiki bar area was fun for hanging out at or just sitting on the porch looking at the waves was great. The property itself was great - bedrooms were large; bathrooms were very nice; kitchen was great. Would recommend to anyone just wanting to get away to a more quiet, secludwed area.

The electronic gate that keeps you and your valuables safe and secluded opens to reveal the crashing waves of Three Tables Beach. The owners are personable and demonstrate true Hawaiian hospitality. If you want to avoid the busy, large-city feel of Honolulu and truly enjoy the beautiful island of Oahu this is the area to do it in, and why not have a beautiful home just outside of Haleiwa town to use as home base? My wife and I stayed here for 8 nights (extended our original stay) and we both have nothing but good to say about the property. Spacious accommodations, ample storage, well stocked kitchenware but in Hawaii its all about the lanai, and this one is exceptionally comfortable, served us well as a planning point for our activities: Day 1, we sat beach-side for a sunset at Three Tables beach, which is literally across the street. Gorgeous, warm water, and surf friendly it is smaller and more private than our favorite beach in Pupukea (North Haleiwa) Waimea Bay Beach. We spent copious amounts of time soaking in the sun in this picturesque bay. Farther away from the property, the walk carrying chairs and a sun umbrella takes under 5 minutes. By day you can snorkel, cliff-dive, body surf, people-watch or just absorb the Hawaiian sun, but as evening approaches find a spot to enjoy a remarkable sunset experience. One of ours included a sun setting on the water while a remote sailboat passed on the horizon, local fisherman cast their nets behind us, a sea kayaker came ashore, while a silhouetted hula dancer ceremoniously bid adieu to the sun from the cliffs lining the bay. Practicality should never be overlooked on any successful vacation plan and the property is less than 1/2 block from a large (by Hawaiian standards) grocery, surf/snorkel rentals, food trucks. Historic Haleiwa town is a 5-10 min drive for the North Shore tourist experience, and what is more practical for beach-goers than being centrally located on the 7-mile miracle (you'll find out!). We spent another beach day and watched a leg of the Triple Crown Professional Surf Contest at world-famous Sunset Beach (5 min drive). The most recognizable wave in the world is slightly closer (3 min drive) and will host another leg of the event. The Bonsai Pipeline is something surfers and site seers alike should experience. Lastly the owners of property were easy to work with and very hospitable while honoring our privacy and making sure we had all of the information we needed to enjoy our stay
Owner response:Wow, well said Thomas! That's even better than Vanessa and I could articulate about our little slice of paradise! One thing we love is to welcome people from all over the world to our homes. Thomas and his wife are no exception. Super people, friendly, appreciative, know how to experience life, just a joy to be around. We know we've made friends for life and hope they come back soon! PS- We offer "Return Customer-Kama'aina" rates when you book your next stay with us. Aloha, Samuel & Vanessa

We enjoyed the house and the beach across the street so much. The house is a perfect place for family vacationing with its nice Tiki Bar. You can be so relaxed in such a spacious layout of the house inside and outside. You can enjoy BBQ outside at Tiki Bar, which is really nice at night time with so many stars sparkling in the sky. The surrounding garden is a mini Waimea Valley. Three Tables Beach, the one across from the street, is just picturesque and has everything much bigger Waimea Bay Beach has. Surely we experienced a wonderful Hawaiian vacation!

My family had a lovely time staying here. The location is fantastic, right opposite Three Tables beach which was so beautiful especially in the early morning waves and then watching the sunset. There was also some easy snorkelling for the kids. The kids also enjoyed the snorkelling at the pools at Shark's Cove a few minutes walk away, and for better swimmers, the cove there was fantastically varied with sealife. We twice saw dolphins in the early morning. It was nice to have Foodland and Starbucks so close too. The house is lovely-very clean and we appreciated all the snorkelling gear/bodyboards that other people must have left. Kids also enjoyed the chickens!

This is definitely the place to fully experience Hawaii! The house and property are amazing! Even though there are homes all around, you feel completely secluded because of the wonderful landscaping! The yard/tiki bar area is beautiful! Three Tables beach is directly across the road and Shark's Cove (excellent snorkeling there) is just a short walk away. Historic Haleiwa is a must see and a drive alone Oahu's North Shore is the most beautiful in the World! The Polynesian Culture Center is a short drive and besides being fun and educational, it has the best luau on the island! I wish I could fill this review with all the amazing things we did and saw during our two week stay. We will definitely plan to come back for a future visit!!

stay here- then visit waikiki, honolulu, arizona memorial, dole etc etc. but the north shore in winter is so spectacular. the tropical yard and tiki bar are simply amazing- we spent several evenings out here grilling and just enjoying the crashing waves and beautiful surroundings. can not put into words what unbelievable things sam and vanessa have have done in this yard- tropical paradise! very peaceful and private, and the vibe on the north shore is so different from the chaos down south, so laid back, friendly and relaxing. north shore waves in winter are spectacular! but a short drive away is a great beach for kids to swim and boogie board at haleiwa beach- our 11 year old had a great time here, and so did we- not crowded and very safe. we lived at hickam afb 20 years ago but did not venture much past the south side of the island- but now we have discovered the north shore- we will definately stay here in the future! loved the kitchen geckos (greeko and no tail) and even the roosters! thanks for a wonderful place to stay sam and vanessa- we hope to see you again real soon!!
Owner response:Glad you enjoyed your stay at our North Shore Oahu Vacation Rental...And, yes, please come again...!

We had a great time at Luana 2 indonesian estate property. We were there end of Oct. We loved the open floor plan and right accross the street from 3 tables beach and sharks cove. It was perfect for the kids with the snorkling near by. Right up the street is a great look out over waimea bay. Thanks looking forward to next yr. Best Tad

Our family of 6, with 4 kids aged 3-5, had a great time at this beautiful house in the ideal North Shore location. We walked down the driveway to the beach everyday, sometimes twice a day! Sam has all the stuff for the beach, and the house is a well provisioned home away from home. Sharks Cove, Waimea Valley and Bay, and Haleiwa are minutes way. Foodland and Starbucks are within walking distance; so convenient! The all wood home really added to the Polynesian experience and I loved the natural setting with all the trees, plants, and flowers. Our kids especially liked the geckos, chickens, and even Priscilla, the local pig! I can't imagine having more fun on vacation. Book it today!

This place has it’s own bar! What else is there to say? ok, so I will comment on the house too; walking into this estate is like walking into some pacific island royalty house, it opens up into this spacious 20 foot high area with an open living room, dining room and Kitchen, I fell in like with this place since the first time I saw it!. It’s nestled away into this lush hidden area, so privacy was of no concern, and the beach, grocery store and anything I needed was right around the corner!

This house is right on the beach. It sits between two of the more recognizable North Beach attractions; Waimea Bay and Sharks Cove. The latter offers excellent snorkeling. Both are an easy walk. The house itself was a great stay. The wrap-around deck and outside bar offer great places to relax in the evening. The house sits back far enough from the highway to offer privacy, yet still affords a good view of the ocean. I recommend you stay here if you are looking for a vacation away from crowded Honolulu and Waikiki.

My friends and family members really enjoyed our stay at this great house. The main appeal is the accessability of the three beaches that are all walking distance. It was our first time in Hawaii and although we did not do much of the touristy things we definatly did alot of swimming and barbecuing at the house. This is an ideal location for those who want to relax and live like locals. My family and freinds will definately be comming back to this wondeful house and location.

My family including my kid and mother came from Japan loved this great house. We enjoyed staying the house for a week and it was so relaxing! Beautiful beaches and snorkeling right in front. The grocery store is within walking distance and it’s got everything. We had a great time at the outside Tiki Bar that has great BBQ equipment. The house had some snorkeling and bodyboard equipment you can use. Unfortunately, there was no wave at north shore so I had to drive to south to go surfing. I come back in winter next time.
Owner response:Nick and his family were wonderful....His children were beautiful and it was clear that they really LOVED being at this wonderful home. As we do for all our guests, return visitors will enjoy a healthy discount on ALL future stays when booking directly with us on VRBO. We look forward to seeing Nick and family again in the winter time to show him what real North Shore waves are like. Aloha!

Just returned from a fabulous 5 day stay in this house. The rooms (both bed and bath) are beautiful just like the photos. The kitchen could have been a little cleaner (the floor needs a good scrub). This was most likely the result of renters not vacating the house at checkout time and not leaving enough for the owners to clean thoroughly. We of course were very eager to enter at 3! The kitchen was pleasantly stocked with items like paper towels, dishwashing liquid, clean sponges etc which meant one didn't have to go out and buy those items for 5 days. The grocery store is within walking distance and is well stocked with everything and has a great selection of fresh fruits and vegetables. The position of the house is great-park the car and walk everywhere! There was always a pleasant breeze coming in from all angles of the house. The snorkeling and scuba was excellant. Within walking distance from the house is a shop to rent snorkeling gear if you don't want to pack your own. The house had some new snorkling equipment. I like to use fins so we rented those for the week. Vanessa is very gifted at cutting the right flowers and positioning them just in the right location throughout the house. Can't wait to come back again-thanks for your friendly hospitality and touring advice. We loved the geckos, hens and green lizards! We also loved the roosters! All this added to the atmosphere of this wonderful property. Thanks so much.

My family, including my small kids loved this beautiful Pole House. Of course it was the location that really sold us as we could walk to three different beaches all great for different levels of swimmers...right across the street from Three Tables, down the street from Sharks Cove and a short walk to Waimae Bay. Just a few minutes walk also takes you to Starbucks, Foodland, and a few little shops and places to eat. North Shore in the summer is sooo relaxing and this home has all the emenities. We loved the BBQ area and spent a lot of time on the wrap around porch/lanai. The kitchen was well stocked and had everything we needed for cooking. The yard is gorgeous with huge tropical plants and lots of bamboo. The house definately has its charm, although privacy must not be high priority. It has an open floor plan and lots of windows and fans for great flow and for hanging out with friends and family. I loved the outdoor hot and cold shower as well as the big open indoor showers. The house has a charm and local style with touches of eligance which made us able to truelly relax and enjoy our tropical getaway. Thank you Sam for the care and attention you have and continue to give this unique home.
Owner response:These renters loved the house so much that they stayed almost a month! Yes, we just had huge, live bamboo trees shipped over from the Big Island to plant in our garden.....So amaizng! Remember, there is a reason that some of the stars of ABC's LOST hit television show lived here for a year! Come experience it for yourself...

My family and I stayed for a week at this rental and it was great!! The only not so great part was that there was no ceilings just the walls so you could hear everything. However, it was not that bad it was just a different experience. The location was great, far enough away from Honolulu but close enough to all the great beaches!! The rental was big enough for 7 adults and was very spacious!! We had a great week and would come back!
