  Great house, great location! We brought our boat, and were pleasantly surprised to find a boat ramp right next to the property, and the house just one away from the bay. The view from our deck was spectacular. We went in to Key West twice, just a short drive from Cudjoe. The house easily accommodated 3 couples, and even had a 4th couple with us for 3 of the nights. I highly recommend this home to anyone!

  My family went for a week and had a great time.We enjoyed the veiw, the pool, the kayaks. The Square Grouper is a great restaurant and is close by. Key West is a short drive.The only problem was the week ended too soon. The owner was very helpful in responding when we were booking . Hope to go back again.

  We arrived to a very clean house, pool and grounds and enjoyed our stay very much. Air conditioning worked great and the view from the living room deck was beautiful. Boat ramp adjacent to yard was a great feature as was the boat dock on the canal leading to the Atlantic. Pool was very nice and nicely shaded in late afternoon. Lots of stairs but this is a necessty so close to the water and in hurricane country. Similar at all neighboring properties. Kayaks and bicycles also furnished. Home owner very friendly and easy to communicate with. We plan to go back next year

• Infested with Termites and Dirty

  I arrived with my husband, my mother, my 3 and 5 year old kids. Initially we thought it was perfect! The view was spectacular. However the house was dirty when we arrived. There were empty food wrappers behind the TV, in the couch and under the beds. Unfortunatley, the biggest surprise came when I was getting the beds ready for the kids. There were over 200 termite wings on the pillows and dozens of squirming wingless bodies on the sheets and blankets. I spent the next couple of hours vacuuming, spraying and cleaning. The next morning there was a new batch of termites squirming between the pillow and pillowcases, sheets and all over the floor. We contacted the owner and he said the pest company would come out. They arrived 6 days later. A three bedroom rental turned into a two bedroom. Overall the house was dirty, my foot fell through the wood on the dock, causing a hazard, the pool was not serviced while we were there and was very dirty. The owner made no good faith gesture for our extreme inconvenience. If the lower keys is where you want to stay, there are hundreds of other properties to stay in. Steer clear of this property!

  Owner response: This is the first time in 15 years someone has had a bad experience at the house. First off I offered to have the cleaning crew come back and clean but the husband said that would not be necessary. As soon as I heard about the bug problem I called the pest company. I called them everyday two to three times per day. Turns out the owners wife was in the hospital with a very serious condition and the office she runs was closed. They went out to the house and the renters said they did not want them spraying so they came back the next day and took care of the problem. The pool service did show up they were there two days before they moved in then came the next Fri. They were a day late because of the 4th of July. The pool company said when they showed up everyone was in the pool having a great time and they did not want to kick them out of the pool to clean it so they came back the next morning. I asked the husband if I could compensate him in any way and he stated he just wanted me to be aware of the problem so I could take care of them. I thanked him and told him I appreciated it. I then told the wife that I would send back back part of the rent as a good faith gesture, I did and a day later she posted this. I have many referances from renters who have stayed there recently and had a great time at the house.

  Our family stayed at this property for a week in June 2011. The ocean view is one of the best we've had in the Keys, and we've stayed several places! The kayaks were an added bonus. It's especially nice to go kayaking when the sun is going down and the moon is coming up--very peaceful. We went snorkeling at Looe Key, with Strike Zone Charters which is just up the road and was the best $ value. Cudjoe Key is a great location, being mid-way between Key West and Marathon. We traveled to restaurants in those areas, but heard the Square Grouper in Cudjoe is excellent. Bahia Honda Park is a short drive and is spectacular for swimming and snorkeling. Having the pool was a plus as it gets hot in June. We enjoyed watching the Iguanas around the dock and the pool, they come out every day. The owner, Peter, was accessible and responsive if we needed anything or had questions, but the house was in good order. We had 6 adults which was a comfortable sized group for this house. We would stay here again.

  Owner response: The views from the house are amazing. I looked at close to 25 homes before I bought this one over 20 years ago. As soon as I saw the view I knew this was the house I wanted. The house is on a quite dead end street with only 6 other homes on the whole block. Only one neighbor lives there full time, so no traffic or noise. You look out over the Atlantic Ocean at 3 beautiful Island, great for kayaking, with very little boat traffic. Come and enjoy the peace and quite and beauty of the Keys.

  Five of us spent a week at this well equipped property. It is located near the end of a very quiet road. The pool was wonderful and we enjoyed watching the iguanas that would come out to see what we were doing. We went kayaking out and around the mangrove island everyday and took a snorkeling trip out on Looe Key with Strike Zone Charters. It is a very short drive to Key West which we managed to do several times. Although this property could use some repairs/upgrading, we would not hesitate a second to return. It was very comfortable and extremely hard to leave!

  Beautiful home! one highlight was watching the sunrise from the M Bdr then standing on the upper deck to watch the Sunset! a very well equipped home, with everything you need for a great vacation
