Tranquil Village “off the beaten path” brings nature to the back door of your private condo. Tranquil Village provides the ultimate Costa Rican vacation destination for those who seek a secluded, self-designed, relaxed, family-friendly, adventure-filled travel experience in the Manual Antonio – Quepos area. Experience the local community, people, food, and customs of this area of Costa Rica. Tranquil Village also provides a cost-effective alternative for booking special interest groups including weddings, group retreats, events, family reunions and more. Our knowledgeable, personal concierge services make it easy to pre-plan and book activities to enhance your stay.
Our property rests just inside the rainforest on six tropical acres. One morning, as I was rocking in my chair in on our front patio, I thought the wind was blowing as the trees started swaying. But, the wind wasn't blowing. The monkeys were out. It was a surreal moment seeing squirrel the monkeys in their natural habitat (they are endangered). That is what gives Tranquil Villas an advantage over other condominiums located in Manuel Antonio. The heart of Manuel Antonio can be heavily laden with tourists during the high season. Our condo was built in an eco-friendly way so that visitors could enjoy the rainforest with the least amount of impact on the ecosystem.
Ride a bike or take a tour bus into town since we are just a few clicks away from the little fishing town of Quepos. Quepos is quaint but with loads of local character. There is a marina being built that will change the area a bit but for now, you can have a real Costa Rican experience in this colorful community. A local farmers market is available where you can converse with area farmers about their fresh produce and purchase local handicrafts. We took home several different types of fruits and made smoothies and milkshakes at the condo when we were in between tours and trips to the beach. One such variety was the zapote. It looked like a sweet potato so I wasn't drawn to it initially but the farmer told me to try it with some milk and ice. Man, was it sweet and wonderful!!
These are the types of deep, fulfilling experiences you can have if you stay with us. We always try to respect the local community and happily all the fishing charters, tour operators, and rental car companies know about our property and they return the consideration to help all our fellow travels enjoy Costa Rica!!
Finally, there are many one-of-a-kind treasures just a few short minutes away. Manuel Antonio brings hundreds of thousands of visitors each year to see the park. It is the only kind of land form like this on the globe. Visitors can take a day trip through the short hiking trails and see numerous types of monkeys, sloths, butterflies, and all kinds of plants/trees. Tour guides are knowledgeable and speak English. The beach rests all around the peninsula and provides for romantic sunsets and a relaxing setting in the crescent shaped beach. Access available to all.

Why the Owner Chose Quepos
My first trip to Costa Rica was in 2005 for what you would call an "adventure" honeymoon. My husband knew about my burning desire to learn how to surf and he indulged me with surf lessons in Dominical, Costa Rica. I failed miserably my first cut at surfing in San Onofre California on one my husband's and my first dates. It was incredibly romantic that he chose to jet us off for a Costa Rican surf trip of a lifetime. We enjoyed a week in Dominical learning together with some of the industry's best instructors. I got up on my first day. Through out our travel in Costa Rica I was continually enlightened by the customs, flora and fauna, local people, and pristine nature. It inspired me to learn more about Costa Rican culture and beckons and calls me back for more.
The Unique Benefits at this Condominium
Large expanses of exotic species of orchids, bird of paradise, and jasmine creep down old growth trees. The emmense size of the varietals are truly mind boggling. Visit a local waterfall after riding horseback through backcountry trails. Experience mangrove boat rides, surfing lessons, or a zipline tour. Watch mono-titi monkies in the morning while you sip locally grown organic coffee. Too many types of exotic wildlife to mention: blue morpho butterflies, swallowtails, iguanas, squirrel backed monkeys, large groups of herons and other birds that call and sing through out the evenings. You can also see the very rare three-toed sloth in nearby Manuel Antonio National Park. Tranquil Village really does offer a completely different one-of-a-kind nature travel experience.
One of the most beautiful and bio-diverse areas in the world. Although it is the country's smallest national park, the stunning beauty and diversity of wildlife in its 683 hectares is unequaled.
Once an important banana shipping port, Quepos is now an much more laid back town compared to its famous neighbor, Manuel Antonio (4 mi. away).
