We couldn't be happier with this FIND of a home on the NORTH SHORE! AWESOME BEDS in each of the 3 rooms, perfect for peace away from busy Waikiki Beach! We were ready to get a full night's sleep after high rise hotels in Honolulu, and this place sure fits that bill! We wanted a great base for exploring the North Shore Beaches daily, and everything from the full sized kitchen to the outdoor shower, plus washer and dryer, made our stay complete! It's nice to have the gated yard, as well, and space to stretch out in the nice yard!!!! The owner, Britt is easy to contact, and knows the area so well that his recommendations for activities and list of things to do is right on. It's nice to know the unit has AC, and a GAS grill, which is hard to find in North Shore rentals. Shark's Cove, a REAL GEM, is right around the corner, and we used the bikes on the path a couple of times! The sunsets from the nearest beach are amazing! HIGHLY RECOMMEND this AWESOME PLACE! Can't say enough about the bedrooms, plus the 2 showers! Girls enjoyed having tv's in their rooms, as well! THANKS, BRITT!!!!!!!!

Our stay on the North Shore was just great....Vland Hale was everything we expected and more. The way the late afternoon sun dappled in all the windows was especially romantic. Elton particularly loved the outdoor shower and we certainly needed it after being rolled in the surf everyday at either Sunset Beach or Waimea Bay. Those waves are really something but we loved it anyway. We would both recommend your hale to others as well as visiting the north shore....Ted's Bakery filled our needs for sweets and a night out at Haleiwa Joe's was great too. The experience at this property 244456 was a very pleasurable experience. The location for what we needed was excellent., the accommodations also excellent, large space plenty of room for our grown family of 6. Easy access to the beach, bikes available., Ted's yummy as always. We were outside more than inside with the beautiful front yard area and the upstairs deck for the sun and views. I had to rate the overall experiene though as good - reason for that, needed the air on several times for some health reasons - worked fine however the motor box is located right below the master bedroom window - unable to sleep with air on due to the noise and vibrations. Had a bit of neighbor noise (uncontrollable from the owners) Otherwise the place was clean, had plenty of room, great kitchen to cook in. Would recommend to family and friends. thank you for allowing us in. C & B plus family from Ventura, CA

This house is perfect for a stay at North Shore. If you like vacationing in the city and the constant bombardment of commercial tourism offerings stick to a high rise in Waikiki. If you want to enjoy the surf and the local flavor with your family or friends in a laid back homelike atmosphere you will enjoy this house.

Our family of 5 stayed 11 nights. While the pictures accurately reflect the appearance and amenities, the house was even more than we had hoped for! Everything was very clean and orderly. The location is perfect -- on the North Shore away from some of the chaos/traffic of Honolulu. The beach across the Kamehameha highway was incredible and just a short walk from Sunset Beach. The owner gave many fabulous recommendations for things to do and places to see. The local contact was also very professional and helpful. Response to any questions we had was prompt and accurate. Haleiwa is just a short drive away -- and we (especially the girls) enjoyed shopping at the local shops. Of course, you need to mix the shopping with Matsumoto's Shave Ice. The surf was huge while we were there, so we couldn't snorkel at Shark's Cove -- but we had an amazing time watching all the surfers and enjoying the beach! Ted's Bakery is a must do for the AMAZING Chocolate Haupia Pie. Vland became our 'Hawaii Home' while we were in Oahu and we definitely would return. The whole family enjoyed the home away from home -- and we spent quite a bit of time relaxing and enjoying our family meals there. The home exceeded our expectations in every way, and we are so thankful to have found this place for our vacation.

Stayed for 5 days at Vland Hale in November. Got to take some great pictures at Waimea and Vland and places in between. Bikes are super handy for getting around. House has everything one could need. Neighborhood is quiet yet close to the beach. Way better house than others I've rented in Hawaii and the price can't be beat.

Aloha !! My family and I visited the North Shore during the last week of October, and to some up our first experience in Oahu....amazing ! Brit's home is exactly as it is described on the website and by other guest's who have visited. From the cleanliness of the interior to the beauty of the outside landscaping, you will enjoy just hanging around the house when your not out exploring on the island. My 3 children loved this house so much, that when we were out for the day they would ask my wife and I " when are we going home"? Thats what makes Brit's home so special...you feel at home. Brits recommendations of places to visit were right on. My kids went surfing with Uncle Brian's son, Crew, and had a blast. Check out Jermaines Luau, snorkeling at Sharks Cove, Sunset beach, and our favorite place on the north shore, jumping off the rocks at Waimea beach. This is a must if your a first time visitor and I guarantee you will have a blast ! Mahalo for making our vacation one of the best to date ! We will be back before you know it. Incredibly clean house , well furnished and maintained. Beautiful yard with BBQ, 4 bicycles and a great outdoor shower. Really comfortable for six friends or a couple who want a lot of space. Loved the air conditioning and the 5 minute walk to a beautiful, deserted beach with easy swimming and good surfing. Really enjoyed watching the sunsets.

We had a wonderful and unforgettable stay at the rental property. The house is beautiful, well equipped, and very pleasant. The owners were very helpful and friendly, which made renting the property a nice experience. We woud love to come back next year. This was one of the best vacations we have had since we have been coming to Hawaai. We will recommend the property wholeheartedly to friends and relatives.

This house worked out great for our family of 5. Immaculate inside and out and comfortable to live in - much better than a hotel room. Beds were comfortable and air conditioning worked well. We enjoyed the location away from Honolulu, yet only a 45 min drive to visit downtown. Beach is walking distance, and the sunset was beautiful. Owner was very helpful in suggesting activities. Would love to come back and stay here again!

My husband and I stayed at the Gallands home in May 2010 for a little over a week. The pictues looked good online, and the price was great! We wanted to get away from the hustle and bustle of Waikiki and thought this would be the perfect place! It was even better than we had hoped for! The property is immaculate, the grounds are beautiful and perfectly maintained, you feel like you are walking into a little sanctuary when you open the gate. The deck upstairs is perfect for dinner after sunset, and we ate breakfast on the patio almost every morning. Inside was decorated really nice and it was VERY clean!! We felt so lucky to be staying there! There is lots to do on the North Shore. We loved Sunset Beach and spent a good amount of time there, we loved going down to the beach to watch the sunset. Our favorite spot was Sharks Cove, the snorkeling was awesome there! We also had a great time at Waimea, my husband loved jumping off the big rock. Haleiwa was fantastic, we had some great meals there! We really liked Luibuenos for mexican seafood. Also, Teds Bakery right by the house was delicious, their garlic shrimp lunch plate was our favorite meal of the whole trip. One of the best parts about staying in the house is getting to cook your own food. It saves money and you can eat a lot healthier. The BBQ also came in very handy!

This house was awesome to stay at. We felt very much at home and relaxed with it's comfort and amenities. It was as nice and clean as shown in the photos, as well as very well maintained. The beds were comfortable and linen clean. The hose accommodated 4 ladies very comfortably and could have 2 more very easily. Located in a quiet neighborhood with a short walk to a seculded beach, we felt safe being a group of ladies. The description and photo's for this property were very accurate. We loved the outdoor shower after trips to the beach or jogging the bike path. The owner was very accomdating to us, as was the point of contact Abby. I plan on staying here again next year, and would recommend to anyone looking for a nice, clean vacation home away from the city. You can enjoy the beauty of the island from this location with short drives to the West or East. We hiked, kayaked the ocean, snorkled, had campfire on beach, sunbathed on beach, shopped and even did some kareoke in Haleiwa. Make sure you rent a jeep, it's the only way to roll when in Ohau!

We were greeted with beautiful private yard great night time lighting for outdoor bar b q, the inside of the home was spotless and tastefully decorated ,all the beds were super cozy with nice linens and air condioning a plus, the bedrooms were nicely separated for privacy.Bikes were great to ride bike path and steps to beach, we would love to come back again as this is a 5 * rental at a great price..
