Skiing & Snowboarding
Mt. Baker Ski Area is home of world record snowfall, in-bounds terrain with tons of character, and first-class backcountry snowriding... all surrounded by spectacular scenery. If you don't have gear, the Mt. Baker Snowboard shop and Glacier Ski Shop both provide rentals down in Glacier beforehand to help speed up your day on the mountain.
Hiking
The forest service maintains a set of fantastic trails both within the Nooksack valley as well as up around the ski area. Check out their online trail guide for more details on the hikes and current conditions. Contact the Glacier Public Service Center for more information; you'll need a Northwest Forest Pass to park at most trail heads.
Tennis, Basketball, Swimming, Horseshoes, Children's Playground, & Grass Fields
The Snowline community has great warm weather outdoor facilities for use by members and renters. The pool is heated in the summer to keep it comfortable and fun. Also keep in mind that the tennis court are occasionally in high demand and require sign-up for time slots.
Cross-Country Skiing & Snowshoeing
The Nooksack Nordic Ski Club maintains several dedicated cross-country skiing trails and all of the national forest trails are available for snowshoeing in the winter. A Sno-Park Permit or a Northwest Forest Pass may be required.
Sledding, Tubing, & Snow Play
There are a few hills within the Snowline Community where you'll find families playing when there's snow on the ground but many people take the trip up to the ski area and play in the snow on the lakes near the Heather Meadows lodge. Keep in mind that sledding is not allowed within the ski area boundaries for safety reasons.
