You'll enjoy the prettiest sunsets ever on our huge waterfront deck, or you can walk out to the dock and catch your dinner! Enjoy your private views on our 140' wide lot, or walk out and relax on our private dock... At the Dew Drop Inn, we're kid happy, pet friendly and eager to please! Our home is located on the "sound" on beautiful Kitty Hawk Bay - it's cozy and comfortable for people and pets of every age. The water is shallow (if you want to bring a boat, flat-bottom or skiffs are the best). The deck is sealed off with 2 gates, so parents can relax while toddlers roam in and out. Enjoy the breeze off the sound, rock in our rocking chairs, or bike a short mile to our gorgeous beaches. Crab, fish, jet ski or sail away...
Our home is located within a mile of the famous Wright Brothers Memorial, grocery and department stores, restaurants and a movie theater. We are 15 minutes from the Lost Colony, the North Carolina Aquarium, the Elizabethan Gardens, the outlet mall and the charter boats (where they bring in the big fish!) There's so much to do... it's the perfect getaway...

I have lived in the beautiful Outer Banks since 1994. Almost my entire family followed us here, and we've raised 2 awesome boys and lots of lizards! We love living here and appreciate all the beauty the Outer Banks has to offer.

We chose to buy in the Outer Banks because of its gorgeous beaches, beautiful waterfront real estate and its proximity to major cities. It's a wonderful, safe place to vacation and to raise a family. We have excellent schools and teachers here, and a wide array of activities for all of us to enjoy.

While staying at the Dew Drop Inn, you will see some of the prettiest sunsets of your lifetime... We have tried to provide an exceptionally relaxing atmosphere, where you can crab, fish, sail, jet ski or bike to the beach, or just sit and rock the hours away on our huge, comfortable deck. The deck has covered porches on 3 sides, so even if it's raining, you can still sit outside and finish your favorite book.

We just returned from our vacation to the warm and welcoming Dew Drop Inn and we absolutely loved the experience! The view of the sunsets and the sound from the porch will long live in our memories. Our daughters (ages 13 and 10) felt at home immediately upon arriving and they loved playing in the game room and the cozy feeling of the entire house. We welcomed the cooler breezes in the mornings and evenings as we rocked on the porch (the temps went as high as 104 during the day toward the end of our visit). This quiet, peaceful respite was just what we all needed! Lizzie was very helpful and warm! She went out of her way to make sure we had a great time and we truly appreciated her hospitality! We would highly recommend the Dew Drop Inn to friends and family!

My family just returned from a great week at "Dew Drop Inn" vacation home. Photos accurately reflect the unique nature of this vacation home. It definitely has a wonderful personality & is not the "cookie cutter" decor of most vacation homes. The covered porch/deck overlooking the sound was our favorite part of the home. We were able to spread out and enjoy ourselves. I would highly recommend this property to family and friends. Hope it will be available for our next year's vacation.

What a wonderful week we experienced! The house is eclectic and sweet -- very comfortable, cozy, and relaxing with a feeling of seclusion in a quiet neighborhood. It truly was like being HOME. (In fact, I wish it WAS my home!) My 8-month old grandson was so stimulated by the environment that he actually began to crawl and pull himself up to a stand in this house. Lots of windows and light inside, ceiling fans to circulate air, a beautiful master bedroom and bath, and the deck is fabulous with rocking chairs and the choice of sitting either under the eves in the shade or out in the sun. A large hammock down below was great for reading, and a ping pong table for when we wanted a little more action. Water is the main view for 180 degrees, and it doesn't get much better than that. The Sound has its own culture of birds, fish, crabs, and grassy marshes, which made life interesting by using binoculars from the deck or by exploring in a kayak. The wind determines the nature of the Sound, which was interesting to watch it change daily. Of course, the sunsets over the water were spectacular every evening, and the dock provided a great place to watch lightning displays late at night. Lizzie is sweet, gracious, and prompt at fixing any problems. Our AC went out while there, and within an hour, it was fixed and running once again. The house is about 1/2 mile from the main highway for shopping, with the grocery store within a mile or two. An entryway to a public beach on the ocean is at the other end of the street, right across Route 158. The location is convenient to everything! Lizzie, thank you for sharing your peaceful home. We certainly hope to return!

We had an amazing time here at the Dew Drop Inn!!!! We are actually packing now wishing we could stay an extra day!!! This was our first time staying sound side and the experience was awesome. The kids were very entertained with crabbing and fishing off the dock!! The sunset views from the porch were breath taking as well! The house is like no other we have ever stayed in!! Even my nine year old said it was like being at home. Just spectacular!! I can't wait till next year!

We just returned home from renting this home and thoroughly enjoyed it. It is centrally located to the beaches, shopping, attractions, and the views of the sound can't be beat. The home was clean and very comfortable. We spent almost every night on the deck watching the sunset and the breeze and the view were amazing. We hope to return!
