Our condo is located in one of the two most desirable buildings in Golf Villas. It is an end unit overlooking the 10th. fairway of the famous South Course. Look directly across the fairway and view the multimillion dollar homes of “Black Sand Beach.”
The sunrise over Mauna Kea is your view to the east. To the west, more fairway stretching to the ocean. Our home opens to extra spacious lawn, overlooking the black lava and expansive green golf course views, abundant light and views from every room in the home.
Our home has never been on any rental program, but because of family health reasons we can no longer spend as much time as we would like.
My husband and I bought it as our second home and decided to make it a magical place and decorated it with the best of the best.
We commissioned C.S. Woo of Honolulu to appoint it with beautiful quality furniture.
Our home has 3 bedrooms and 3 full bathrooms which we limit to 6 guests.
The master bedroom has a California King size bed, with a spacious bathroom and a shower that has innovative stone flooring and a spacious walk-in closet. We have experienced many peaceful sunrises and sunsets from the lanai watching the changing of colors on the horizon and listening to the extensive variety of birds.
The second bedroom upstairs has a queen size bed with its own private bath and a spectacular view of Mauna Kea.
The third bedroom downstairs has twin beds and an adjacent good size bathroom.
The upstairs den has a desk where you can enjoy a beautiful view while checking your e-mails with free secured Broadband wireless connection.
The open kitchen is fully equipped with top of the line stainless steel appliances including a wine cooler and a wrap around bar with stools. So when we have an early tee time or want to go for an early walk, we just have a quick breakfast at the bar.
The dining room accommodates 6 people and it opens to the downstairs lanai which has a Teak wood table and seating for 6.
We love our summer kitchen with a Thermador stainless steel BBQ where we prepare fish bought from the local fishermen or steaks from Parker Ranch. If you wish to just sit and relax outside there are 2 comfortable patio chairs and table.
We usually finish our day in our comfortable living room while watching a 42” flat TV or while reading a book.
Hair dryers are in each bathroom. All bedrooms are equipped with flat screen TVs, DVD players, cable/digital TV with music channels. We also have Fanimation ceiling fans throughout all bedrooms, den and living room.
And by the way if you wish to have daily maid service we can provide you with it.
We are avid golfers and we can’t decide which of the 2 championship courses has more spectacular views. We also love to spend time at the owner’s private beach where we can snorkel and see a wide variety of spectacular fish. And yes, you will have access to both.
There is access to Mauna Lani SPA, tennis and athletic center available for a reasonable daily, weekly or monthly rate, including spinning and yoga. For you swimmers, there is a 25 meter lap pool.
We have the most efficient Concierge who will meet you and acquaint you with the area and facilities.
Did I mention that we are delighted that finally a Foodland market opened early this year so that we have access to everything without having to drive several miles to find the next market.

We have had homes in Marin County, CA and Beverly Hills and presently our main residence is in Rancho Mirage, CA. We are retired from careers in law and import auto dealerships. We love golf, warm weather and the ocean. We have been spending time on the Big Island for 20+ years and have owned property at Mauna Lani for 6+ years.

After exploring all aspects of Hawaii, we concluded that Golf Villas at Mauna Lani was our paradise location. This observation is seconded by our grandchildren who love to spend time in Hawaii.

Graetel we cannot express our gratitude for the wonderful time we had during our several weeks stay at your property. The photo's in the VRBO listing do not do it justice. Having stayed at other units at the Mauna Lani Golf Villas we can truly attest to the beauty of this one. Being an end unit, there is a wide expanse of garden and grass between the next block of units, the views are exquisit and day and night is is truly peaceful generally the only sound was the "ping" of a golf ball hit from the tee box. From kitchen to linen cupboard, this unit is well supplied. There was not an item in the kitchen that I felt was "missing", plenty of linens, towels, beach equipment - you ame it it wads there. Being a lover of wine, I especially enjoyed the wine cabinet in the kitchen! Beach access is excellent and the snorkeling among the best while in truly safe waters. Our 12 year old grandson spent many hours enjoying the fish, turtles and even saw a small octopus! There are many great walking loops to take - mine were usually around an hour and a half in the early morning ad the many birds about were a delight. Several excellent restaurants are close by both at the Fairmountt Orchid, Mauna Lani Resort |Hotel, Tommy Bahamas, Huli Sue's just to name a few! We were kept informed of many, many events especially over the Christmas period through the concierge. We especially enjoyed the Woodworking Show held in late January - exceptional work. The resort pool and hot tub are well mantained and a great way to relax after a busy day. My husband especially enjoyed the hot tub after one of his many, many games of golf. His favorite is the South Course at Mauna Lani and I could actually heckle him as he went by our lanai on the 10th hole. This property is truly a gem and we will definitely be returning! Mahalo

Aloha Greatel We are back home in Palm Desert after a fabulous 10 day stay in your beautiful condo. We sure hated to leave but guess it is always sad when vacations are over and its back to reality. Your condo helped make our stay something to remember. Everything was perfect. We enjoyed sitting on the patio having our coffee and watching the golfers come through. Aloha Graetel, We really enjoyed our time at your condo. It was very comfortable, nicely decorated and I loved that you had extra bedding, towels and serving style plates. The extra space on the lanai was really nice. My husband like getting the morning sun on the lanai to read his book with. The knives could be better though. They are not very sharp. We left 5 boogie boards, 2 beach chairs and a beach umbrella for use at your condo. We had two sets of friends that were on the Big Island before us, so they left everything with us when they flew home. Andrea was very helpful. She managed to get us a playpen for my 5 month old grandson when they came to visit. That was greatly appreciated as he doesn't crawl yet but rolls very well. Thank you for sending the deposit. Thanks Graetel. Yes , it was a really wonderful and comfortable stay I love that all the details were handled (shampoo, detergent etc ) It was wonderful returning with our some of our clothes clean too. Everyone enjoyed having their own bedroom and private bath. And the location was very private also, being located as an end unit with roomy patio. The wireless internet allowed my husband to dial into work for a couple of conference calls when needed, which made him more comfortable. We spent quite a bit of time at the private beach, which was lovely . Thanks so much for the great rate you give us. It was a great HAWAII 50 for all the 50 year olds.

Dear Graetel, My children and I enjoyed your beautiful home very much. My daughter loved the decoration of "her" room. We spent every night watching the sunset from the lanai off the master bedroom. I regret not making a reservation to stay longer than a week. When I wanted to extend my vacation the penalty for changing my airline reservation was too high. We want to go back next year. Graetel, Thanks. We had a wonderful time and your home is very nice. The only thing I can suggest is that you make some cleaning items available such as brooms, mops and glass cleaner. The grandkids had their handprints on every glass surface! Both you and Lissette very prompt to respond with the garburator issue and that was much appreciated. We were not concerned about it not being available; we just wanted to let you know about it. Thanks again. Steven
