Just wanted to let you know that we really enjoyed our stay at your house - it was in excellent shape when we arrived - very clean. We treated it as we treat our own house, and took care of it very well - I would say it was almost as clean and tidy as when we arrived. It was really nice also not to have to run out shopping for shampoo, soap, paper towels, etc - everything was already there. The weather also cooperated and we had only one day of rainy conditions.
I would recommend your house to anyone. Hopefully we'll get to rent it again.

Jennifer, on behalf of my husband's family, I just wanted to say 'thank you' for opening up your home. What a wonderful combination of a charming, older American 'Cape Cod' looking home with modern features and appliances. Your home is bright, cheerful, and inviting. I want you to also know the family members who stayed in other places weren't nearly as excited about theirs!!!
You have done an awesome job utilizing traditional things like the paneled kitchen wall and living room ceilings, and beautiful wood floors throughout. These features, combined with a rocking, newly remodeled kitchen, modern bathrooms, a huge living room and sun porch, cozy bedrooms, and an awesome backyard AND BEACH had us wishing we had more time to just
'hang out' at home instead of trying to jam in so many outdoor activities!!
It was so relaxing after the wedding to be able to gather and spend time bonding with family.
We fell in love with Minnesota-and Duluth, wishing we had more time to explore. We will HIGHLY recommend a visit to Duluth and the surrounding areas--and of course, that people rent your home!

Our previous rentors love this place, you will too. we are filling the Summer 2010 calendar quickly. Reserve your spot today.

We have 6 kids and they all had a great time on the beach. They loved both the big waves and the calm waters. The bon fires on the beach at night were great. The house had plenty of room and sleeping areas, we especially loved the kitchen and dining area. We would love to come back next year for a longer stay.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, romantic getaway.

We couldn't have asked for a more beautiful home to spend the weekend of our daughter's wedding. We enjoyed the house, the beach, and the location. It was very much like out own home. My daughter had several wedding photos taken both inside and outside the house. Eight of us fit comfortably. The kitchen is wonderful...lots of room for both cooking and eating. The early birds in our group enjoyed the Sun Room. I hope to be back for again and enjoy the City of Duluth from this home (Park Point) is like a whole different world and wonderful place to stay...close to the action but far enough away you don't even know you are in the city. Thank you, thank you, thank you. Hope to see you again soon...Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, romantic getaway, tourists without a car, age 55+, girls getaway.

This home was the ideal place to quietly catch up with family. There are so many cozy corners and porches to sit and talk or read that time is immaterial. This clean house (it passed my bare feet test), while older, feels good with its open spaces and wood floors and is easy to move around in. The kitchen is modern and very easy to work in. No need to watch TV or bring entertainment with the lake (within view of the modern sun porch) so easily accessible. The lake is just a little way past the picnic table/fire pit area in the back yard. The yard is private and also has an "old-fashioned" feel to it with its established turf and enclosing trees and undergrowth, living is easy. The master BR on ground level suited the grandparents just fine with the windows on the lakeside and a private bath. The polished wide creaky stairs bring you up to accommodating bedrooms that have wonderful light and a cross breeze coming from the Lake Superior. The surf lulled the kids to sleep and kept them in bed in the morning. The playground is also 2 doors down and a short drive takes you to the main beach and hiking trails (World's Longest Natural Freshwater Sandbar!!) or the other direction to Canal Park and Duluth with its innumerable restaurants and attractions. Grandma's, Pizza Luce, Aquarium, Drive up the North Shore Scenic Drive on Hwy 61 for gorgeous views, North Shore Hiking and State Parks (an hour to Gooseberry Falls), or even all the way to Grand Portage National Monument. Lots to do in town, there are lovely hiking trails along the creeks that run down the hill in Duluth. There is a good co-op grocery up the hill in town. The owner was very helpful and responsive, even to my preferred method of email. Perfect.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, adventure seekers, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

We have had two fantastic family visits here. The house is nicely decorated and well-appointed with a fully equipped kitchen and stacks of white bath towels. Comfy beds, ceiling fans, and lots of pillows. The beach is right there--so it's easy to go for a quick dip or run up for a cold drink or lunch. I highly recommend this house.Recommended for: Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, girls getaway.

Dear Jennifer, I just wanted to thank you for the wonderful accommodations during our stay in Duluth. It was our first trip but definitely not our last! Your home is beautiful and so spacious, it made us feel at home. Our family of eight was very comfortable in all the living arrangements provided. The living room was so spacious and the view to the backyard is great. The home was also in great shape when we arrived and all we had to do was unpack our things. Of course, the beach was amazing and although we were all very excited for private beach access we hadn’t imaged it would be so grand! The view was absolutely breathtaking and every member of the family had a great time. As I mentioned before, this was our first time to Duluth and the location of your home was absolutely perfect. We were minutes away from everything we needed and taking a evening drive to canal park was great! Thank you very much for opening your home to our family and helping to make our first trip to Duluth so special. We hope to stay at your home again when we take our second trip to Duluth. Sincerely, The Ameerally FamilyDid you find this review helpful? Yes | No Helpful votes: 3/3

Why the Owner Chose Duluth:
Park Point is a little island that is walking distance to shopping, dining, entertainment and the boardwalk in Duluth. Plus five miles of beach front on Lake Superior. The best of both worlds! You might think you are on the East Coast - very Cape Cod! I love the ocean like waves and soft sandy dunes and wisps of hardy sea grass. We love this property and enjoy sharing it with others.
The Unique Benefits at this House:
Huge friendly family friendly house on the beach yet biking/walking distance to city life.
