Daydream Hideaway is just the place for a nice vacation. It is only a few steps from the water and has great views! Everything you might need is here. It is very easy to work with the owners.

Recommended for:Age 55+, families with teenagers, families with young children, girls getaway, sightseeing.

Beautiful beach locale on the ocean!

The house is very nice, clean and well maintained. The view of the ocean and beach from the back porch is perfect! The beach was not overly busy or crowded, despite the time of year. The kitchen is better stocked with supplies to actually cook and eat in than most rental properties we have experienced. The only thing missing was a CD player or Ipod dock, so bring your own music source. One easy addition would be a dishdrainer for handwashed dishes/pots. There are lots of things to do in the area - highly recommend the Naval Air Museum in Pensacola and going to see the Blue Angels practice. Restaurants we tried were all fairly touristy, pricey and not especially good food. The one exception was Docs Seafood Shack in Orange Beach - totally casual but good! Go to the local fish markets (or go fishing!) and buy fresh fish and cook your own! The rental management company was very easy to work with and accomodated us on a special request that we appreciated. We enjoyed the trip and would recommend this property to anyone!

Had a wonderful time at the house. It is located right on the beach, doesn't take but a few seconds to walk from the deck to the ocean. The house was clean and ready when we arrived. The set up was perfect for our family, our 2 year old slept upstairs while mom and dad had a room as did grandma and grandpa. The view was amazing and the beach was beautiful. Sitting on the deck relaxing after the son went down was a pleasure as well. Good eating was just a drive down the road, plus Orange Beach is about 10 minutes away as they have wonderful restaurants as well. The only gripe I had was the beds upstairs, they were very loud and uncomfortable, in the end it didn't matter as no one slept on them. Either way I would totally recommend the Daydream Hideaway!

Owner response:We are so glad these guests had a good time and have already contacted us to make arrangements for next year. This is the first time any of our guests has ever mentioned any issue about the upstairs beds. We'll check it out!

We just returned from a week at Daydream Hideaway!! This is a great beach house,..very clean,..it was the perfect place for our family of six. Best of all it was just steps away from the beach!! The upstairs bedroom was a great choice for 'Mimi' and 'Poppy' to sleep late in the mornings,..very quiet, even with our two grandsons running around downstairs early in the morning,..didn't hear any noise at all!! Also, it was not too far away from some good restaurants,..Lulu's and Nolan's were our favorite ones! We would pick this house again,..for sure, if we do return to Gulf Shores!

Thank you for a great vacation. We met as a family and were met by a very clean and comfortable home, great private beach, and wonderful accommodations. The surf was relaxing and we watched others enjoying their stay as well. Thank you for providing a wonderful vacation!

We are longing to be back at Daydream Hideaway and we just left a week ago. It was a lovely home, tastefully decorated, and the perfect location. Quiet, low traffic area was perfect for us and our children. My son, who is 4, developed an instant love for the sand and sea life. My daughter's favorite spot was definitely the hammock. We loved everything about our stay and found it really hard to leave our home away from home. We are already planning our dates to return next year. Oh, and Desoto's Seafood is wonderful if you are looking for somewhere close to get a great meal. Wonderful home, wonderful beach...can't ask for any more than that. Thank you!!!

This place is all that and a bag of chips!!!! We will be back, you can count on that. Absolutely everything people need for a awesome vacation. Couldn't get any TV, but I didn't care. Our parents kinda did, they didn't get out as much as the rest of us.The best was sitting on the beach at midnight and playing in the surf. Love it and Thank You very much.

We have been visiting Gulf Shores for over 15 years. This is one of the cleanest places that we have ever stayed. The location on the beach was fabulous and very private. The pictures of the site are accurate. It is really that clean and that close to the beach. We would definitely recommend this to friends. This could easily become a yearly tradition.

We enjoyed our vacation at daydream Hideaway. My husband and I loved waking up to the sound of the ocean and having coffee on the deck over looking the beautiful white sand. The hammock under the house was my husband new napping spot. Our child liked being able to walk out the back door and being right there on the beach. The house is decorated with a true beach feel. It was like our home away from home, having everything we neeed to make our stay truely wonderful.Staying there brings back memories of when I was a child and vacationed at he beach with my parents. It was so nice to give my children memories that I hope they will have for a life time like me. We have stayed at other places on the beach but nothing compared to staying in Gulf Shores at Daydream Hideaway. Before we were even home our children asked us to make plans to stay at this beach house again next summer. Thank you so much Susan we hope to see you next year!
