If you have never been to Frye Island, it is a place that once you visit; you may never want to leave. The enchantment, privacy and quiet atmosphere is intoxicating. When you leave the island, you find yourself refreshed, rested and ready again for what life has to dish out on the mainland.
The house is on a private wooded lot. In front is a large deck with a table, chairs, umbrella and a gas grille. The front yard has a large grass area which is flat and great for outdoor games or relaxing in a lounge chair.
There are three bedrooms, two baths, full kitchen, great room, and den. The home sleeps 8 comfortably. I’ve included a link to a website I put together with more info.

We are New Yorkers who love New York, as well as the opposite extreme, i.e. a quiet island with not much to do but read, take a walk or putter around the lake on a boat. It’s a long drive for us but maybe not for you. Either way, it is well worth the trip. We love the water, quiet and the privacy.
Why the Owner Chose Frye Island
We’ve been vacationing on Frye Island for many years. It is truly a unique place, accessible by a small car ferry just six months of the year. When you drive on to the ferry and watch the mainland fade away, life gets magically suspended at arms length till you’re ready to return. We purchased this home two years ago unfinished. It is now completed and when we are not there, we’re happy to share (for a small fee) this lovely place with others.
The Unique Benefits of this House
The house is a short walk to a marina and one of the best beaches on the island. There are 14 public beaches around the island of all shapes and sizes. If you want to follow the sun, spend the day beach hopping around the island as the sun moves along setting your agenda.
