Had a great christmas vacation..!!

Perfect house to spend your vacation, be it summers or winters. The house was very well maintained, neat and clean and fully loaded with all ameneties you require for any weather. We really had a great time and we did everything, right from playing pool/air hockey, roullete, cards to watching movies on LCD, baking cake, barbeque, cycling etc. Great coordination with Alex and we really had very smooth dealings and proceedings. Big thanks to the owner for providing us with all necessary requirements. We are definitely planning to drop by in summer of 2012 for some beach activities now. Cheers!!

We wished we had more days at your place!

From the guest message:'I add the review twice already at the link that you indicated. I do not know why it is not showing. Otherwise, I give you permission to paste and copy if you do not show it again.' Dear Alex, Thank you again for renting us your beautiful house. We have enjoyed our two nights stay, and we wished that we had more days. The two flat screen TVs and cable, for the 2 evenings were great for the kids and adults. This arrangement (upstairs and downtstairs) is also perfect for families who want the kids to have their own space, while the adults have the other. The kitchen is the state-of-the-art, with stainless steel appliances and granite counter top allow us to prepare a fabulous dinner for my mother's birthday. We also enjoyed the beautiful scenic view from the dining room and the porch. Once again, it was a pleasure doing business with you. I look forward to spending time again at your place.

Comfortable and Spacious

Date of Stay: 09/04/11 Review Submitted: 09/19/11

My family and I would highly recommend this lovely home! The house and location were exactly as described and pictured. When we were in the house, we spent our time split between the large dining room where we all ate together, played games or just talked and the deck where we had morning coffee, read or enjoyed quiet evenings. We could walk to the beaches, but staying after Labor Day, we also drove the 2 minutes to the beach and parked for free. On cloudy days we spent afternoons in both Chatum and Hyannis where we poked in the many, many shops and eateries. However, the ice cream in Yarmouth, Cape Cod Creamery, is by far the best!

Owner response:Dear Donna, Thank you and your family for your recent stay and for also taking the time to send in your review of our property and the service you received. The comfort of the home and great location is one of the many reasons guests return. We hope to see you back next season, Alex

Great Location/House/Neighborhood in S. Yarmouth

Guest: Another Happy Couple (Ithaca, NY USA)
Date of Stay: 06/18/11 Review Submitted: 06/23/11

We have been vacationing in the cape yearly since 1991 and rented several types of beach houses. This S. Yarmouth home had more amenities than any other rental. I loved the stainless oversize refrigerator/freezer and stainless dishwasher, as well as the granite counter tops! The new front loading washer/dryer was very accommodating too! It was a lot of house for just me and my husband but the price is right! It is not easy to find a pet friendly beach house but Alex and Valentina welcomed our Cocker Spaniel, Rudy, into their home. My husband found a piece of plywood in the garage to use as a “gate” to block the stairs and contain our dog to the deck. Rudy enjoyed a lot of his time on that spacious deck and did some bird watching himself :). The weather wasn’t as favorable as we hoped but it was great to have the flat large screen TVs and a game room (with refrigerator) to spend the rainy cold days. Bring your Wii game system for easy hook up to the TV in their game room and challenge the family to a friendly game of bowling!!! I would also recommend miniature golf at Pirate’s Cove. The beach is very nice but does not allow dogs. We went to our favorite beach in Sagamore Highlands where we can take our dog. We had a great vacation in this home. Thank you Valentina and Alex!

Family Vacation

Date of Stay: 06/05/11 Review Submitted: 07/13/11

We were their June 5, 2011 for one week with our son, daughter her husband and one year old son as well as our 2 small dogs. The house was VERY clean and everything was in good shape. The location was perfect 5 minute or less walk to the beach and bass river pier. Tried fishing and caught crabs - great fun. The deck was so relaxing and the dogs loved just sitting in the sun. They used the bikes to ride to Great Island Bakery for special treats in the morning. The air hockey table was great fun in the evening. We would recommend the house to anyone and hope to return someday.

Great Location

Guest: Judy J. (Somerville, NJ)
Date of Stay: 04/10/11 Review Submitted: 04/19/11

The house was very clean and well-maintained. We especially liked the view from the dining room window where we could see the marsh and two mute swans. The bedrooms were nicely decorated and the beds were very comfortable. It was nice to have the linens and towels provided. Even though the weather was a little cool we actually sat out on the deck one day. We appreciated that the owners allowed us to use the bicycles. It was a short walk, or bike ride, to the beach where we enjoyed looking for birds and shells. We enjoyed our stay in Yarmouth and managed to do a lot of sight-seeing from this centrally located house. It's an easy drive to Plimoth Plantation and the Cape Cod National Seashore. We went all the way up to Provincetown one day where it was reported that whales were being spotted. We didn't see any whales, but the dunes were a sight to see and we took lots of pictures. We found the Cape Cod Potato Chip Factory and learned how they make potato chips. There is so much to see and do on Cape Cod. We really weren't ready to go home.

Owner response:Come back! We are happy that you like our house and its location! Thank you for sharing very useful information. Birding is just terrific at this place no matter what the season. If you want to see whales or seals probably the most reliable way is to join the whale-watch tours (April –October) or a seal cruises (October –May). Owners

A wonderful Cape Thanksgiving!

Guest: daniwash60 (Framingham, MA, USA)
Date of Stay: 11/21/10 Review Submitted: 01/05/11

November 21 -28, 2010 We came from all over the country to be together as a family for Thanksgiving. Through much hard work we found this place and hoped that it could meet the needs of such a diverse group. This beautiful home welcomed us in a way we could never have dreamed of! We found a bit of magic right here in Yarmouth! The scenery and accommodations were amazing. Watching the sunrise from the window slat in the dining room confirmed that each day would be wonderful. The game room was a fantastic place to host our board game competitions without waking the babies upstairs. Everything was wonderful, and we hope to make this a family tradition. Thank you, Alex + Val, for opening your spectacular home to us! It was everything we could have dreamed of, and more. The Washington – Prince - Boltwood - Davies – Kang Family

July stay at 88 Wilfin, South Yarmouth

Guest: Marian (Clayton, GA)
Date of Stay: 07/11/10 Review Submitted: 07/20/10

Its hard to find a house large enough for our three families but we were happy with our choice. Two men were well over 6 feet and we needed king sized beds so they would be comfortable. It all worked!! The kids enjoyed the air hockey/pool table in the downstairs play room, the kitchen was large enough for everyone to prepare food and the large dining room table accomodated nine of us so that we could eat together. We left 93 degree weather in the south to come to 93 degree weather in the north so we were very, very grateful for the air conditioning. The beach is close, the pier at Smugglers Beach is super for fishing or our family fished at the private beach after 5pm. Most of the time we walked to the beach but several used the provided bikes and were glad to have them to dash back if they were hungry. Great spot!! Thanks!!

2nd visit as enjoyable as the 1st

Guest: Sue from NJ (NJ)
Date of Stay: 05/11/10 Review Submitted: 05/31/10

We returned in May for a week after having visited for a week in October. We loved the house and the location the first time. We were wonderfully surprised by the changes we found in May: an outdoor shower, a lot of landscape work to clear out the underbrush on the property, new dishes, valences, and shower curtain. The care the owners take is apparent. The location is a quiet neighborhood just a few blocks from Nantucket sound and a few blocks out to the main road for mini golf, ice cream, restaurants, etc. We spent the majority of this vacation on the deck, enjoying the grill, or walking the beaches with our dogs. But our last visit was much more active and South Yarmouth gave us good access to all parts of the Cape. A lovely home and a great location...highly recommended and we can't wait to go back!

We stumbled across this property in looking for a place to stay over the Thanksgiving holiday. The owners were very accommodating in answering all our questions, allowing us to bring our dog. Although the weather was fairly typically cool and drizzly, we enjoyed walks to the beach and riding the property's bikes up and down the street. The beds were quite comfortable and having linens provided made things much simpler for us (especially since we don't have any king size bedding ourselves). The kids could have the run of the playroom without impeding "adult" conversation in the upstairs kitchen and living room. Although we had a few gotchas in trying to put together Thanksgiving dinner in an unknown kitchen, everything turned out great and we were able to get everyone together as we had planned. I would definitely recommend this property to those bringing a big crowd and who want to be within walking distance of the beach. Thanks again to Alex and Valentina.

Large Cape House, Beautiful View, Great Location

Plenty of room in this house for a larger group. 3 bedrooms upstairs and 2 downstairs. One full bathroom upstairs and one downstairs. Huge dining room with a large table and two living rooms, each with a flat panel TV. The air hockey/pool table was fun too. As the previous reviewer wrote, my favorite part of the house is the HUGE deck, with tons of patio furniture, large gas grill, and beautiful view of the marsh and pond area. We also had fun playing horse shoes in the back yard. Another great thing about this house is the location. Hyannis is minutes away, and Route 28 is very close. Tons of restaurants and shops very close to the house. We especially appreciated that, since we stayed the last weekend in September. Things start to close for the season then, on other parts of the Cape. I understand the beach is real close too, but we did not get a chance to go to the beach, since it was the last weekend in September. We did enjoy golfing and fishing while we were there though. Both were close to the house.

Comfortable home from home

Guest: Rachel (England)

We had a great stay here at the end of September. The house really is well equipped and it feels like a home-from-home. We stayed with two small children and there was plenty of space for them to run around and play (inside & out). We were able to do washing & drying in the large machines in the basement, and the provision of detergent etc is really kind and means you don't have to rush out to buy things upon arrival. We loved exploring Cape Cod from our base in Yarmouth, and particular enjoyed the whale watching. The place was really quiet and we went on some lovely walks around the neighbourhood and to the local beaches. We have lots of nice memories of a relaxing holiday. Would definitely recommend this house for a large family get together.

We were really lucky to find this property. This place has everything you could think of and more. The best thing is, of course, the location. The house is just a five minutes walk from the beach. We carried all our beach staff with us and didn't get tired. The house itself was very clean and had everything we needed: 2 huge TVs, wireless internet, washer and drier, fully stocked kitchen, new linens and towels. And the staff is not chip. It looks like linens, towels, bathroom soaps, kitchen utensils came from some expensive stores like Macy's and such. The house has a game table in the lower level. We had a blast playing pool and air hockey! My personal favorite was the porch. It is huge! It had a patio furniture set, an extra table with chairs, a new grill, and there was still enough space left for children to run around. The owners of the property are very nice, friendly. Alex made sure that we knew about nice restaurants and things to do in the area. With his help we found a nice little bakery, with the best breakfast pastries, on the street that goes along the ocean. I would highly recommend this property and we are definitely going to return there next summer.
