The Beach House is on a sereen beach and overlooks the bay of Samana. With 3000 sq. meters of lush garden and fruit trees, it offers you a sereen tropical ambience, yet with all the comforts of a modern home. This property is in a rural area, surrounded with coconut plantations, with a hilly landscape. There are numerous hiking trails into the surrounding hills, and a sizable waterfall nearby. The beach is small and very sereen (as you rarely see another person) and consists of pebbles and sand, and sometimes has accumulations of sea grass (This is not a world class pure white sand dream beach, but then, neither is it congested with tourists and haglers). The water entry is comfortable and shallow a long ways out, thus the generally calm bay waters offer very safe swimming conditions. Included FREE with this property rental, is the unlimited use of our 46 ft sailboat with captain(just captains fee > 100 p. day, BUT!! first time out is on the captain with stays of 5 days or longer ), an 18 ft fishing boat with o/b motor & fishing gear ( just put the gas ), and two kayaks. There are many coves with lovely secluded beaches, just 20 min. away by kayak, and many more interesting and beautiful spots (like the island "Cayo Levantado" and the national park "Los Haitises" known for its numerous large cathederal ceiling caves with ancient Taina indian paintings ) just an houre away with the sailing or fishing boats. Also, fast boat transport(10min) to and from Cayo Levantado avail. from the house for 40 US for your group(not per person). Also, whale watching (sighting very probable ) from mid january to end march.The combination of the generaly calm waters of the bay, and the predominant trade winds, provides excelent and comfortable sailing conditions.The friendly town of Samana (with its long waterfront promenade) has various international restaurants, night clubs, discos, a small casino, and supermarkets, and is just three miles from the house. The prop. manager/boat captain stays in a small house on the same property, although seldom seen as we respect the privacy of our guests, he is always avail. to help with any detail or answer any questions (speaks English, German, and Spanish). Please, no guests under the age of five, infants excepted.

Why the Owner Chose Samana
I chose to buy a vacation property in this area because of the natural beautiful ambience (the most beautiful on the island), and the enormous bay with its sheltered waters which provide exelent sailing, fishing, and swimming conditions.

The benefits which I enjoy most of this property, are those previously mentioned of this magnificent and hospitable bay, sailing, fishing, and swimming (also sunning, lounging, and doing absolutly nothing).
