Delightful, extra spacious apartment in Hollywood Craftsman situated in Historic Preservation District near the Hollywood Sign in the Hollywood Hills. Three large bedrooms have charming décor, serene views and huge closets/dressing rooms with antique furnishings. Dressing rooms can double as baby nurseries for portable cribs (provided). One large bathroom with separate bath and shower, two sinks and plenty of linens! There is a small powder room in the downstairs foyer/common space. The kitchen is sunny, spacious and charming, a great place to read your newspaper, plan the day's activities, cook a roast or bake a cake! The large kitchen is fully stocked with utensils, pots, pans and serving platters, bowls, etc. Shared front porch (with owners) for the occasional cigar or a peaceful glass of wine while enjoying the palm trees and pink skies at sunset. This is a very desirable, architecturally charming, tree-lined neighborhood and is just one block from artistic Hollywood hullabaloo, local hangouts, grocery store and Historic sights.

Year Purchased: 2005

My husband and I bought this beautiful family home in a great Hollywood neighborhood in 2005. Now that the kids have all flown the nest, we've converted the upper floor into a chic, very spacious (1,400 sq ft) 3 bed apartment with full kitchen and 1.25 baths. We are filmmakers and love this Hollywood location for its convenience, vibe and amenities.

Why the Owner Chose Hollywood

This is a great neighborhood in Hollywood between Beachwood Canyon and Los Feliz. There are restaurants, bars, a grocery store, dry cleaners, boutique shops, gourmet stores all within one or two short blocks and the Hollywood Hills and Griffith Park are adjacent to this neighborhood. In fact, we hardly need to use our cars at all at the weekends! Also, we're conveniently located a few blocks from the 101, so it's a great base from which to explore other areas of Los Angeles. Hollywood and Vine is just a 10 minute walk where you can peruse the Avenue of the Stars, see a movie in the Grauman's Chinese Theatre, take in a show at the Pantages, visit the Kodak (where the Oscars are hosted annually) and go shopping for fresh produce on Sunday mornings at the Hollywood Farmers' Market. Walk to the Hollywood Bowl for summer concerts under the stars, or just meander one block to our local restaurants and cool happening hangouts. Also, the neighborhood is very family friendly with groceries, cleaners and diners.
