Our family of four just spent the weekend at this condo and we had a great time. We had never been to Lake Anna before and didn't know what to expect. The owners of this home were great! They told us about the area, what activities were available in the area and dining options around Lake Anna. The home was clean and nicely decorated. Everything we needed was there, right down to paper towels and soap. The kitchen was stocked with all the necessities. The bedroom was spacious and the bathroom was spotless. There is a boat dock for the condo just a few steps away. We rented a boat for the day and had a fabulous time. The lake is beautiful. The water was so warm. We stopped the boat countless times to jump out for a swim. The kids fished for awhile from the boat also but we have no great fish tales to tell. There are a couple restaurants on the lake where you can dock and have lunch or dinner. We went to a place accross the lake from the condos called Anna Cabana. It was a stunning spot on the lake and they had good food. This condo made an inviting, comfortable home base for a wonderful weekend at Lake Anna. We hope we're lucky enough to return again soon.Recommended for: Sightseeing, girls getaway, families with young children, adventure seekers, romantic getaway, age 55+, families with teenagers.

Owner info
Year Purchased: 2005
About the owner: Cathy and I both grew up in Northern Virginia and are part of the “Hokie Nation“, as graduates of Virginia Tech. Both of our children are Hokies. We came to Lake Anna in 1985 to help construct and then manage the day to day operations at Anna Point Marina. We enjoyed this lake lifestyle, and walking to work, for 21 years. What a great place to raise two kids! Steve was very active in the Lake Anna business community and founded the Lake Anna Economic Development and Tourism Partnership. He also developed and published the Lake Anna Guide magazine and its online companion, Lake Anna Online, which he still operates.
Why the Owner Chose Lake Anna:
We decided to buy the condo as a rental investment because of the tremendous niche that the condo fulfilled. We knew that plenty of waterfront homes were available for rent, and motel rooms close by. The condo was a great option for those looking for something in between. Affordable rental options with private boat docking, great décor, last minute rentals and one-night minimums were non-existent.
The Unique Benefits at this Condo:
The unique benefit of this condo, besides the reasons we purchased the unit, is its location. Lake Anna itself has much to offer, but for those who are looking for day-trips, many are available. Downtown Fredericksburg is a antique shoppers dream. Wine lovers will find several central Virginia wineries within a short drive, and the Lake Anna Winery is only two miles away. For the families looking for a major theme park, King’s Dominion is about 45 minutes away. Mountain lovers will find Skyline Drive and Shenandoah National Park only an hour to the west.
