  We just returned from an incredible 10days on Maui in the perfect condo. The photos cannot do it justice! Each night we enjoyed beautiful sunsets from the lanai (which had a great new Weber barbeque). The location on the greenbelt is quiet and it's a quick walk to the long gorgeous beach. The condo has everything you need and is very comfortable, especially the king side bed. It was extremely clean and well appointed. The owner is very easy to work with and quick to respond to any questions. You can rest assured what you see on VRBO is what you will get, and more. We were so sad to leave that we changed our plans for our anniversary next year. We will definitely be coming back to this unit!

  We recently returned from a family vacation which included 7 nights at this condo. This is a great condo. It was very clean. The "double head" shower is excellent (great for washing dirty feet without getting rest of body wet). Excellent garden and ocean views from the kitchen as it is an upper floor unit. The sunsets from the lanai are breathtaking. This condo is very comfortable - the kitchen is stocked with pretty much everything. The bedroom bed is very comfortable (more comfortable than what I sleep on at home). We could make many meals here instead of going to a restaurant. I used the gas BBQ to make 2 dinners and one lunch. Kids enjoyed sand toys and inflatable rings for floating in the ocean. Ceiling fans throughout the condo were useful - didn't need a/c at all. But you won't find yourself in the condo much during the day with the pools and ocean so close. The owner is very professional and trustworthy. I sent her a certified cheque from Canada (to save the credit card charge). No problems. She did take deposit via Credit card (no extra fee). Only complaint was that the mattress on the sleeper sofa is not very comfortable, however, my kids didn't seem to mind. I would rent this unit again and recommend it to anyone.

  Owner response: Aloha, So glad you enjoyed your stay in 16E and the views that it has to offer. We installed a new Weber grill on the lanai in Jan to help make evening meals more pleasurable. Thank you for the input on the sofa sleeper. It has a thick mattress that generally is comfortable. I will have it checked out to see if possibly a spring is broken and needs repair. Joan

  The condo is not "newly updated" as stated. It is decorated in a very dated manner, the appliances are old, as is the furniture (very uncomfortable).   Owner response: In 2011, Wailea Ekahi 16E, was decorated with coordinating color schemes carried through the entire condo, including high quality bedding and linens. Also in 2011, a new mattress, GE refrigerator, Bosch dishwasher and garbage disposal were installed. Many positive comments have been received concerning how comfortable the sofa sleeper is. It has an extra thick mattress making it very comfortable for sleeping. Concerning this reservation, the guest contacted me before their departure saying what a wonderful time they were having at the condo and that there was an issue that they preferred to discuss with me after arriving home. The cleaning service sent pictures of the stove with a tea kettle completely warped and burned. The burner under it looked like charcoal and would not clean up. It appears that the burner was left on under the tea kettle when the condo was not occupied. I fully understand that accidents can happen, but when I asked the guests what happened to the stove, they became angry. I am currently looking into my options, which include replacement of the stove at my expense. We have owned Vacation Rental Property in South Maui for more than 20 years. Eighty percent of our business comes from repeat guests or referrals. Cleanliness and esthetic appeal are very important to us.   We loved everything; the appartment that is in a quiet environnement, the grounds with flowers and birds, the sea that is in 3 minutes walk, the snorkeling with amazing views of turtles and colored reef fishes, the sunsets on the lanai, the long walks on the beach. The condo has a good location on the island (South Maui is really central when you want to visit).

  Our stay at this property was absolutely heavenly!! It was pure magic and splendor. While the listing description and photos were enticing we were overwhelmed with the perfection of this condo and the Ekahi Village. Our magical journey began immediately upon driving into the village and seeing the beautifully maintained grounds. Everything on the outside was immaculate and the array of plants and flowers was astounding. When we entered the condo our jaws dropped. It was beyond our wildest dreams!! The condo was super clean, appointed with everything one could need, and beautifully decorated. The view to the ocean from the lanai was spectacular and we were serenaded daily with the sweet songs of the island birds. Watching the sunsets from our perfect location was magnificent. We were able to easily walk the short distance to the beach and the many first class resorts nearby. We said many times to each other how much we preferred having our own private space in this condo rather than staying at a large resort with less privacy. It was quiet and peaceful, but never sleepy. There is a great paved walking path that runs along the ocean for a few miles toward Makena that you do not want to miss that is easily accessible from the condo. The beach was beautiful and just minutes walking distance from the condo. Lots of great snorkeling and swimming. The pools on the property were pristine and well maintained. The owner did a superb job in getting all the information to us prior to our stay and answering some questions for us during our time there. We would highly recommend this property to our friends and relatives and we will be doing just that. If there was a higher rating than a 5 we would give it!!! It doesn't get any better than this folks!!

  Excellent updated condo with all the amenities. Every room is pristine and absolutely sparkling clean. The owner is readily available to answer any questions and is consistently friendly, truly an example of the Aloha spirit. The views are incredible, the area is extremely quiet, the condo has great sound proofing, even the chatty birds do not permeate our sleep. There are two separate air conditioning units that cool the place in minutes and are very quiet. The bathroom is between the living room and bedroom, an important consideration when traveling with kids. The beach is a few minutes walk away and it is a great snorkeling site in the morning and fun boogie boarding in the afternoon.. The three smaller pools usually have only 2-3 people and they are reading. The pools also are extremely clean and are not overly chlorinated, they are a great place to swim. This is the place for that perfect vacation.

  My husband and I have stayed at Ekahi for a number of years. It is one of our favorite destinations. We love the topigraphy and the grounds. We found 16E on your site, and made our reservation. It looked very nice, but you never know until you step in the door. Pictures can be deceiving. Everything that is advertised is there and more. All of the accommodations are very comfortable. The newly renovated bath is absolutely gorgeous, the shower is devine, the bed is wonderful, all of the linens are top of the line. The kitchen is stocked with everything you need for cooking. It was quiet, great views, just a few steps from a quiet pool and just a few more steps to the bigger pool. We described this experience as one of the very best. We will be back!
