    Claudia and Luciano made our trip to Rome wonderful. The Santa Croce Apartment was nice and easy to navigate to the tourist spots. Claudia and Luciano were very helpful and gave us good information on how to get to places of interest. I would recommend this place to anyone looking for a great trip to Rome.

  • Our trip to Rome this summer(2009) was made even more memorable because of the owner of this apartment - Luciano Mattero. A thorough gentleman and vey reliable. We had requested a taxi pick-up from the airport and Luciano offered to pick us up himself - for a a nominal charge. Our plans changed at the last minute and we asked him to pick us up from the station instead and happily he obliged. He was punctual, contacted us effectively and was a very welcoming face, in an otherwise new country. Luciano took us to the apt., explained everything in detail and then showed us around the neighborhood as well, helping us to familiarize ourselves with the surrounding area. The apartment was as described, clean and well maintained with all basic amenities. Nice building, has a lift and is in a safe area. We felt safe walking back, with children, as late as 11.00pm. Bus stops with many buses going to major tourist areas are at just a 5 minutes walk from the apt. The train station is about 15 minutes but you can hop on a bus and get off three stops later, right at the train station. We did not feel as though we were by ourselves in a new place because Luciano was always a phone call away. Luciano even dropped us back to the station on our return trip. A beautiful city, a nice, centrally located apartment and a very pleasant, friendly, accommodating owner - a fantastic holiday. Would definitely stay here again. A. Mahagaokar U.S.A.
