Riverdale is a very special scenic historic community with a mix of stately mansions, more modest private residences, and apartment buildings. It is formed by the confluence of the Harlem and Hudson Rivers that separate it from Manhattan and New Jersey.
There are many parks and endless old growth trees throughout the neighborhood. You will never tire of leisurely walks where you will observe an endless number of treasures, both natural and man-made. It is "the best of both worlds" as it is within 30 minutes of all areas of Manhattan and its attractions. Going north, you are within an hour of the scenic Hudson River Valley and the Catskill Mountains.
This apartment is a spacious (1400 sq ft), sunny 19th floor corner unit with terrace and a south east exposure. It has magnificent views looking south to Manhattan and the George Washington Bridge, and East to Long Island. The apartment has never been rented before and contains our own furnishings. It has central A/C, hardwood floors, a large renovated kitchen (9x14) and dining alcove (10x14). This adjoins the spacious Living Room (12x28). The master bedroom suite (14x21)has its own full bath & two walk-in closets. The second bedroom (11x16) has trundle twin beds and a large closet. The 2nd full bath doubles as a guest bath.

You will be within seconds of express coach service (30 minutes) to the Eastside, Westside and downtown Manhattan . My wife, Joan and I are retiring to our Maine country house at the end of May. However, our lease on our beautiful Riverdale apartment runs through October 31st. We are looking for a family who wishes to enjoy a quality lifestyle while visiting New York City. I am a mathematics professor and will continue my passion for teaching at Southern Maine Community College. That big handsome guy in the picture is our son, Ian, who is running our family business, The Lobster Place in Chelsea Market. Chelsea market is a wonderful destination for NYC residents and visitors alike. When you are planning a dinner at home, you won't be disappointed with what you will find here.

Besides 24/7 doorman-concierge service, the building as a full service state-of-the-art health club, Olympic sized Swimming pool, complete with sun deck, tennis bubble, and garage.
