This handsome country home sits along a rural road overlooking Lake Christopher. A natural footpath leads down to the lake below. In the winter, you can cross-country ski or snowshoe right out the back door, across the lake and onto endless snowmobile or hiking paths.
The downstairs includes a mudroom, and a fully equipped kitchen, a living/dining room which features a piano and fireplace, a full bath and a den with TV/DVD. Upstairs there are three bedrooms: two with queen beds and lake views, one of which has an optional full futon, and one double with a garden view. There is also a full bath with laundry room.
Our Lakeside Retreat is a perfect jumping off point for all that Western Maine and the White Mountains have to offer. The house is only a 5 minute drive from Mt Abram, a 10 minute drive from Bethel (Sunday River, shops, restaurants, hiking, outdoor adventure center), and a 45 minute drive from New Hampshire (hiking/snowshoeing/cross country skiing in the White Mountains, Wild Cat, outlet shopping). It is also the perfect place to get away from it all... Sitting in front of a roaring fire after a day of winter fun… snuggled cozy in the master bedroom while watching the snow fall outside of the big picture windows… cooking warm meals in our fully equipped kitchen. Your stay at our Lakeside Retreat is sure to be a truly magical experience!

Owner Description
My name is Eli, I am the daughter of the owner, Alice. I live in Maine and try to get to Bryant Pond as often as I can. We tend to visit whenever there aren't renters because we love the place so much. We are both avid gardeners as is attested to by the herb garden and flower gardens around the house. We are also keen hikers and boaters, both of which the Western Mountains region is perfect for.
Why the Owner Chose Bryant Pond
My mother bought this property some 40 years ago. We lived in the house for many years before moving elsewhere in Maine. While growing up we only rented it in the winter and would live there all summer. But now we have started renting in out all times of year and just using it ourselves when other people aren't there.

We had a wonderful stay at this lovely home on Bryant pond. The house is roomier than we expected. The bedrooms are bright and sunny and overlook the lake. The furnishing are so charming. We stayed in this property for most of the ski season. We found the owners delightful to work with. We would definately recomend this quiet getaway to our friends.
Recommended for:Sightseeing, families with young children, families with teenagers, age 55+, romantic getaway.
