The Argosy Motel has been a family built, family owned and operated business for the past 55 years.
The Motel is a peaceful, restful vacation spot for people from all walks of life who enjoy our private beaches and a quiet area right outside the hustle and bustle of Daytona Beach. We are located in an area that is primarily residential. All of Daytona's attractions are short drive away.
Five miles south on A1A and you are at the Daytona city limits.
Your car is parked right next to your cottage you are only a few steps to a porch or room. Our exceptionally clean rooms are always cleaned by the owners. The rooms are paneled with tongue and grooved cypress paneling and the floors are terrazza with throw rugs by the beds and doors. The bathrooms are equipped with easily accessible showers. Wireless internet is provided for all guests.
The Argosy is located directly across from the Ormond Mall, one can simply walk west across the street to get to: a hair salon, nail salon, Family Dollar Store, Bealls Outlet, a clothing store, a pharmacy, three banks and a barber shop. Within a quarter mile there is a Post Office, doughnut shop, NY/Italian restaurants, convenience store/gas station, hardware store and auto mechanic. We are conveniently located two and a half miles from Starbucks, Walgreens and a host of other specialty stores located on SR 40. There will soon be a completely new Publix grocery store across the street. It is slated to be done in March 2010. The whole mall is looking great!
When you open the door or look out the window to the east the ocean greets your eyes. Gulls, sea birds, shells, sea turtles, dolphin are common sights to view along our beach. Come and enjoy it. Many of our customers come year after year. If you come, once you'll want to come again.
The cottage may be divided into three different rooms. A kitchenette that includes a queen bed, a twin bed a sofa bed, table chairs and complete kitchen. A queen bed room and a two double bed room include private baths, TV, refrigerator and air conditioning.
Additional rooms may be available. You may also rent only part of the building. Please contact us for rates and details.

Let me introduce myself. I'm Sharon Clark. My husband Greg and I are the owners of the Argosy. Come enjoy our beach. It is a great place to spend a month or a couple of days. We hope you will come and join us! You never know what you might see at our beach. During the Labor Day weekend our guests form Ocala saw a sea turtle come and make its nest 150 feet from our steps that go to the beach. We hope you will come and see for yourself what fun it is here at the Argosy. Take a relaxing stroll on Ormond's sandy shore, play in the waves on our traffic free beach and relax at the pool deck. It is all waiting for you at the Argosy.
Why the Owner Chose Ormond By The Sea
Ormond-by-the-Sea is nearby Daytona Beach, St Augustine and Orlando, and it is very tranquil. This part of the beach is the best we have seen through our travels. You can walk on the beach for miles on sandy shores free from rocks but with plenty of seashells.

We are located across the street from a shopping mall. Our pool and the ocean are within feet of the cottage, it is a wonderful place to relax.

From the time we were first introduced to "lifestyle at the Argosy" we have been hooked. When you are there, your entire body relaxes, the atmosphere permits only rest. The lovely rooms are always clean and have everything you need. The owners are on site and willing to make your stay as comfortable as possible and they do a great job! My family and I have stayed at the Argosy every summer for several years. We have enjoyed the home away from home atmosphere. We stay in wonderfully clean rooms that are cozy and have great views of the ocean. The pool is nice and clean with plenty of lounge chairs. It's practically right on the beach.
