In respect to the local fishing and water...
"One of the things I like most about this location is that you walk out your back door right onto the dock, hop on the boat and are just 2-3 minutes from some of Florida's finest inshore fishing and the Gulf of Mexico for those who prefer deep sea fishing." states Captain Tom McLaughlin of Another Keeper Charters.
"This is truly the perfect location. You will find the close, unobstructed gulf access and full-service marina invaluable to your vacationing experience."
Convenient boat storage is available for boats up to 35 feet, with fresh water and shore power included. There is marine gas and diesel within a few hundred yards of the docks, and cold beverages (including beer and wine) at the marina's pool and cabana.

Luxury Waterfront Townhome in Cape Haze Marina - Boat Dockage
Year Purchased: 2009
Why the Owner Chose Englewood
We believe that we have chosen the perfect location for your stay in sunny Southwest Florida. Located on the Intracoastal waterway in Cape Haze-Englewood, Florida you will find great access to area Gulf beaches including Englewood Beach, Manasota Key, Don Pedro State Park, Palm Island, Little Gasparilla Island, Boca Grande, Cayo Costa and more by both land and water. It takes a mere 5 minutes to access the open Gulf of Mexico through our well marked, bridgeless, deepwater inlet (Stump Pass). You will find navigating our area a breeze with direct access from the marina to the deep, well marked Intracoastal Waterway providing a safe, convenient route north to Venice, and as far south as Sanibel. The land-based explorer will be pleased to find that they are just 5 minutes from the historic town of Boca Grande and 15 minutes from the Sarasota County Canopy road, a must-see scenic byway. Access to shopping, restaurants, beaches, parks, and just about anything else you could possibly want can be found literally in every direction. Despite its easy access to all the amenities of city living, the small community of town homes at Cape Haze Marina is located on a private point set away from the road. You will always find the most important component to any vacation when you arrive back at your temporary residence ...peace and quiet. Enjoy a cold drink and take in the sunset from your fourth floor roof deck and you will remember why you chose to come to Southwest Florida.
The Unique Benefits at this Townhome
ABOUT THE FISHING - "Lemon Bay is one of Florida's best kept secrets. Even nearby locals that fish Charlotte Harbor extensively seldom make the run up here to fish," says Captain Tom McLaughlin. "It is safe, family friendly, calm on even the windiest of days, and honestly I don't think I have ever been in a place with as many fish, and not just any fish but BIG Reds and Snook, in my entire life." Coming from a fisherman who was raised stalking the inshore and back country waters of the Florida Keys, that is saying a lot. "I was amazed the first time I fished over here. There is just so much life, such a diverse ecosystem, and every where I looked there were fishy looking spots that actually held lots of fish! It's what the Keys must have been like 50 years ago," he says. Lemon Bay not only offers terrific inshore action close to the docks, but also is a perfect starting point for your fishing adventure should your desires take you farther from home. "You have bridgeless access to the Gulf of Mexico through a deepwater pass (with no idle speed zones between the marina and open water) and short ride South will put you into Gasparilla Sound, Bull Bay, Turtle Bay, Charlotte Harbor, and the fabled waters of Boca Grande Pass. During the summer the beaches just outside Stump Pass are absolutely packed with feeding pods of Tarpon. "Some of my most memorable days fishing for Silver Kings have come not from the big waters of Boca Grande Pass, but from the beaches just minutes from my dock. We have Snook, Reds, Tarpon, and Trout inshore--or if offshore is your game you can tangle with Grouper, Snapper, Amberjack, Kings, Cobia, Permit, and even Blackfin Tuna and large sharks just a short ride out of Stump Pass," says Captain Tom. "You really can't pick a better location to spend time on the water."
