Spend your vacation at "Summer Breeze," a lavishly furnished, former -BDA model home with many extras. Stroll over to the wide, sandy beach, only a five-minute walk with easy beach access.
The top deck provides unobstructed view (360 degree)of the area. You are able to see the ocean, sound, Currituck Lighthouse and the beautiful Currituck golf course.In the evening enjoy a beautiful sunset with possible sightings of deer and fox. After darkness falls enjoy the spectacular sea of stars and the blinking of the Currituck Lighthouse.
Unwind in the hot tub, splash in the private pool, swing on the porch, and dream. Nap in the hammock and listen to the whisper of a "Summer Breeze."
This home is loaded with lots of extras that you won't have to pack to bring with you: LINEN AND TOWELS FOR 16 PEOPLE, 2 BEACH CARTS(Push type),umbrellas, beach chairs, boogie boards, and sand toys. You can ride on the bicycles (currently 7 adult bikes)or play basketball in the driveway.
We have added a game with filled bags of corn that you toss.
All the bathrooms have wall-mounted hairdryers for your convenience. There are six TVs, two VCRs, and six DVD players. All bedrooms have clock radios with CD player, and the recreation room has a stereo unit and a foosball table. Also, a mini frig is located on the lower floor to allow easy access to drinks while using the pool and hot tub.
There are baby furnishings (pack n play, porta crib, 3 high chairs, 2 baby gates, 1 booster seat), books, games, and puzzles. In addition, a game table for playing chess, checkers etc. is located in the loft area. There is also a sitting area on the middle floor for reading or relaxing. There is a long driveway for rollerblading, and the driveway also serves as a canvas for your youngsters work of art using sidewalk chalk. There is also a huge lawn to play on.
Ground floor--
Bedroom with 2 pyramid beds each with (double on bottom and twin on top ).
Rec.room with love seat and queen sleep sofa, (42 inch TV, Stereo,surround sound,foosball game and outdoor speakers for pool area. This level has a closet which contains baby eq. ,books, and fishing rods. Bathroom with access from inside house and the pool-hot tub area. Covered deck with hammock and outside shower. There are 2 park grills and a fish cleaning table outside the pool area. THE POOL IS PROTECTED: by a high fence and 2 gates with latching device. In order to open the gate you must reach over the top of the gate. This prevents small children from entering the pool area. The pool area also has outside speakers to listen to the sound of the beach.
Second floor
Bedroom with king and priv. bath,TV, pvt. access to deck rear of house. Bedroom with queen and priv. bath, priv.access to deck rear of house. Bedroom with 2 twin beds and priv. bath,TV. pvt.access to front deck. Washer and Dryer. There is a sitting area for reading or checking email with internet. It also has access to the rear deck. The rear deck on this level contains a porch swing which has been a popular spot.
There is a 1/2 Bath between the 2nd and 3rd levels.
Third floor
Bedroom with king and priv. bath,TV, pvt.access to rear deck, full kitchen, dining room and great room, TV. . Access to front deck and rear deck. Gas fireplace. Beautiful views from the this level. Lots of deck furniture on this level. A screened in room with access from the king bedroom and the deck overlooks the Currituck Golf Course (Tee #3)There is an observation deck with wonderful views of the ocean and sound. You will be amazed with the views from this level. Access is by stairway off the rear 3rd level deck.
The loft area is a nice get away spot to read and unwind. There is a game table on this level. There are ocean views from the loft.

Our family reunion of 14 people truly enjoyed Summer Breeze. Comfortably accommodated all of us. Clean & nicely furnished. Outside porches & observation deck so nice to enjoy in the evenings. Kids loved the pool & all the games provided. Never heard "I'm bored" all week!! All the equipment for the beach & beach carts were a real bonus. We enjoyed the large diningroom table where we were able to sit as a family & enjoy our meals & conversation. Janet & Rich are great hosts. We hope to return in the future.

This is by far the best vacation home I have ever stayed in on the OBX. Having vacationed there for almost 20 yrs, this is the best value for such a gorgeous home. The location on the 3rd tee is remote, peaceful, and private. The home is clean, well-maintained, and so stocked with amenities that it is like a home away from home (and more!). Janet and Rich are so caring and thoughtful towards their renters, they treated us like part of their family. Our favorite activity was relaxing and enjoying big meals with the family and not having to leave or feel pressure to go anywhere because the home HAS IT ALL. The pool and hot tub are a great plus to the beach toys, chairs, boogie boards, games, children's activities, TVs in every room, foosball, etc. We surely did not want to leave at the end of the week; wish we could have stayed longer. I would recommend this beautiful home and its lovely owners to everybody I know.

My family and I stayed here from 8/29/10 to 9/05/10 and we found the experience to be "breathtaking." We had the two greatest hosts I have ever experienced in Janet and Rich, who took care of our every need. And I am comparing them and their home to having come to the Outer Banks for the last 8 years. Summer Breeze has a wonderful pool and Hot Tub, and one of the greatest views of the Ocean and the Sound from their upper deck. Also, you can spend hours up there picking out the many constellations in the stars. The other amazing detail is how much is provided already at this home... they already provide all the linens and towels. There are bikes to ride on, and there are beach chairs and boards for riding the waves already provided. There is a wonderful grill for cooking your own dinners and all the utensils provided. I think this home is ideal for many types of get-togethers. It is great for families; and it is great for older family getting together too. Actually, it is pretty much great for anyone who is looking for a top-of-the-line great rental home on the Outer Banks. But, what I really love about Janet and Rich, is that they are "real people" who love their home, but who do not "run their rates up" beyond what families can afford. If you are looking for a very wonderful Outer Banks experience at affordable rates.... we strongly recommend the Summer Breeze. My family is already clamoring to go back there again. There is no better home on the Outer Banks anywhere!

We loved the house..we loved the big table. It was nice to actually all get to eat at the same table. All the beach toys, chairs and umbrellas were awesome to have. It is nice to have our own pool, none of us have ever stayed anywhere with our own pool. We loved the house and the area and would recommend to anyone. Thank you very much.
