"Utter Bliss" is a traditional beach cottage, a family-friendly, comfortable home away from home. Completely updated, it still contains the original pine paneling through-out. Relax on the large porch in a rocking chair or the old-fashion swing, enjoying the ocean breeze, or if you prefer on the covered deck on top of the sand dune. Walk the path over the dune directly to the white sand beach, stick your toes in the water, search for shells. Enjoy the beach with your family and conveniently walk back over the dune to return to the cottage anytime you want.
Inside is spacious and comfortable with four bedrooms, 3 1/2 baths, living room and dining room with a large table ideal for large family gatherings. The kitchen has been remodeled and updated. Enjoy the sound of surf as you go to sleep, or use the AC to really cool off! For 2011, we have installed all new siding with insulation and new windows/doors.
This cottage offers everything a family needs to have a relaxing and fun time. It is convenient to shopping, restaurants, mini-golf, jet skiing, fishing, boating, and other family activities. The North Carolina Aquarium. historical Ft. Macon and Beaufort, Shackelford Banks and Cape Lookout are all nearby. Experience "Utter Bliss" on the Crystal Coast.

Year Purchased: 1994
For the past 16 years, my wife and I have rented to families that were personal acquaintances or business peers. Since I am retired from a large insurance company, I can no longer use pictures and word of mouth to attract renters. My wife and I have moved to Morehead City, NC. That's just 5 miles from the rental house/cottage. We enjoy boating, fishing, golf, and site-seeing the coastal area. We know restaurants and items of interest. The beach house is the ultimate in vacationing.
Why the Owner Chose Atlantic Beach
This house has been in the family for three generations. My wife and I bought it to share with people that love the coast. We converted it to a rental to maintain the property and to pay ever increasing taxes and maintenance. Otherwise, it has a beautiful view of the ocean and beach. We love walking the beach and hunting for shells.
The Unique Benefits of this Cottage
Total relaxation on a covered porch with an old fashion swing or rocking chairs are the benefits people have always told us that liked the best. If that's not your calling, there's the large deck on the sand dune where the breeze is even better. The kitchen has all appliances and items one needs. The ultimate benefit is watching the sun rise or fall with your coffee in the morning or saluting the flag in the evening with your favorite beverage. House is air-conditioned and wonderfully comfortable.

Finally,,,, we found the type of real family style home where we could really enjoy our beach trip. This is the type of beach cottage my wife and I grew up with our families while staying at the beach,,, no high rise buildings,, no crowded coastlines,, just a simple relaxing and enjoyable time. We always look forward to spending quality time with our grown children and grandkids. Thanks Herb for an honest description and home that brought back so many fond memories. The rocking chairs on the porch and walkway platform provided wonderful views of the sunrise and provided great naptimes !!!!! We look forward to coming back to spend time in your family home where relaxation and rejuvenation is in abundance.

We just returned from our vacation at Atlantic Beach. Utter Bliss is a great place to stay. It is in a really good location. We will definitely be staying there again in the future.

My family and I stayed at "Utter Bliss" in October, 2010. There were ten of us, and the house was more than adequate for all of us. Very private, yet very convenient to anything you would need. We really enjoyed the porch swing and having a cup of coffe while watching the sunrise. The most relaxing vacation any of us have ever had! Thank you for a wonderful time... hopefully we'll be back in a few months!
