Why the Owner Chose Dollar Point
We choose this location because of the perfect combination of lakefront and quiet street. This is unique to Dollar Point. Most lakefronts on the North Shore of Lake Tahoe are directly on the busy highway. They are noisey and dangerous for kids and dogs. Our kids ride bikes up and down Edgewater Drive without worry. And being on the lake is heaven.

We came up last minute when we heard the snow was great! The house is extremely warm and welcoming. We had big fires every night, cooked dinners and never wanted to go out! It is located right between Squaw and Northstar; the location was perfect. Being on a quiet street was great; the kids could sled right on the street! The view of the lake is amazing. Overall, we had an amazing stay!
Recommended for:Adventure seekers, romantic getaway, sightseeing, families with teenagers, girls getaway, families with young children.

I rented this property last summer. We used the bouy for our boat, hung out on the beach well into the evening, went swimming in Lake Tahoe! (late summer) and had such a lovely time that we came back up this week...January 2011. My family is out skiing and I am sitting here looking at the lake with a fire going. The owners are giving us an extra night for free so we could enjoy this last day. The house is 1/2 remodeled...with a new garage, deck and TV room. The rest of the house is from the 1970's I think. The bathrooms are older, but everything works great. This is why we get this great location and house for such an amazing price. The owners are so easy to work with. We had a problem with the alarm system this summer and the owner had it fixed in an hour. We'll be back this summer!
